Can you guess who this is?
It's probably really easy.
You know, I don’t hate cameras. I think they’re fascinating. How do they do what they do? And they have all those neat buttons and little doors. Interesting things, for sure.
But why do cameras hate me so?
I’m on my third camera this year. Perhaps it’s because they’re all cast offs from friends. They always say the camera works fine- and it usually does for a little bit, then it goes wonky. It makes me wonder if my friends are playing tricks on me, or do I just have some sort of magic electronic vibe that makes cameras suicide?
Anyway, that’s why I haven’t had any pictures for the blog lately. I have some nice ideas, but no way to capture them.
This present camera seems okay but everything is blurry. Either that or my eyes are really bad. Last night I read the instructions and took about 100 hundred pictures on all different settings. And these blurry pictures are all I got. My children shake their heads sadly, but you know the little suckers can’t make the camera work right either.
The weirdest thing about this camera is that it belonged to my friend Nadine, and she had given it to her boyfriend, but then they broke up and he gave the camera back and she didn’t even want to touch it then and gave it to me. I’m not proud- I said thank you.
But last night the memory card was full and I set to clearing it off. There were twenty photos of Nadine with five different men, and not one of them was her ex-boyfriend. I didn’t really know what to do with that so I just deleted the photos. The only thing that really bothers me is that none of those photos were blurry like mine.
Well enough of that, on to Vixo. This is my first mod. We haven’t done many mods because we don’t have duplicates of very many figures. But this was a figure we never used, and my eldest son has developed some sort of samurai addiction and I was getting tired of him using the Tarn as proxies. So I took a knife and did some slashing!
We only have the Izumi Samurai so I tried to model him after them. His back hand with tanto didn’t really turn out right, but other than that I think he turned out okay.
Can you tell which Heroscape figure he started out as?
Here are his stats:
Name: Vixo Tagwhenobi
human, unique hero, samurai, disciplined, medium 5
Einar
2 life (all heroes in our game have 2 life)
6 Move
1 Range
4 Attack
5 Defence
Specials:
Tanto Everywhere- gives one automatic shield against adjacent attacks
Counterstrike
Samurai Rally- +1 A and D for adjacent Samurai

The reason why these pics are so blurry is because their so close to the camera. The camera probably has a close up option. Find it, figure out how to activate it, and you'll be able to take pictures of figures and boards up close. My camera is just a cheap little Kodak camera I bought 3 years ago, and it can take close ups of Heroscape just fine. Every once in a while it takes 2 shots though.

Yes, it's Iron Man. We have so little actual Scape and it was so hard to come buy I'm always afraid to cut into any of it....

This is an old post, I know, but I wanted to say that I like the mod.
The camera story was funny, you have such a great way of phrasing things, Sylvano. Your blog posts are always fascinating reads about the curious details of humanity. |
