Double Attack
Smell of Blood
Each time Krug the Undead Inflicts a wound add one blood marker to this card, max of 3. For every Blood Marker on this card add +1 to Krug the Undead's Attack.
I'll paint up 3 wound markers in red to use as the Blood markers.
Devourer Bonding
Before taking a turn with Krug the Undead you may first take a turn with any squad of devourers you control.
I say Devourers because I assume the zombies will be devourers, :? If not he still has bonding with the Anubian Wolves, so no down side, :D

Tweak, Twitch and Need'rt
These are 3 custom figures I'm working on and well have been working on for a little while now. None of them have been playtested but that is still in the works. (with help from Sydcomeback and Annerios)
The planned figure for these guys is Schmidt (modded of course) from Navia Dratp. Any feedback or info would be greatly appreciated, ;)
Tweak
Life 5
Move 5
Range 1
Attack 4
Defense 4
Morph Weapon
Special Attack
After moving and before attacking, choose a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Tweak. Roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 12 or higher, Tweak may attack with the chosen figure's Special Attack this turn.
Disengage
Tweak is never attacked when leaving
an engagement.
Twitch
Life 5
Move 5
Range 1
Attack 4
Defense 4
Cannonball Blow
Special Attack
Range 8 attack 3.
Rather than moving and attacking,
you may choose an enemy figure up
to 8 spaces away in a straight line
from Twitch, there may be no

These are soon to hit card form and I wanted to get some thoughts before I set them up.
Also the Samu (mech walkers) and a memorial unit (Euryon's Card and Abilities) will all be coming soon.

Nice crocodiles-khai's! I especially like the cannabalistic ability which actually gives them an advantage over other Sobe-Khai: pretty unique.
What figures did you use for them?

Very nice unit, CA. I think the figures do it for me more than the abilities, though. Not to knock the card itself, the unit is great in and of itself, but those figures are gorgeous. They are just so... cartoony clean, best way I can describe it.
Are those new Kroxigors? Or some other model line? They are damn good looking figures none-the-less, and your paint job is beyond superb.
One suggestion: not that it really matters, as I doubt I'll see many other XXX-khais on the battle field, but mayhap Cannabalistic should include all Croc-Khai, and not just Kobe-Khai.
Also a nitpick... the text on Slither is not as bold (or a different size entirely) than the other 2 abilities.
Awsome unit though. I just can't get over how cleanly painted those minis are.

The Sobe-Khai units are not my paint job I'm sorry to say. I took the pics from Crocodile games. They have a great deal of nice figures for their Ægyptus (www.crocodilegames.com) series with more to come.
My biggest concern are the TNT Bros., what you guys like and what you don't like.

They seem a little weak stat-wise. They have some pretty cool special attacks but I think they will likely be killed before given the opportunity to do anything cool with them. Also, I am not sure I understand the Need'rt special attack...

The Sobe-Khai is a nice card and looks very balanced. Here are some alternate figures that could be used for them (I love the minis you chose but I don't like using metal minis for HS if possible):

Even if their cost reflects their current stats, I'd still like to seem them a little stronger, a little bit more staying power. You have some pretty good abilities and bonding but they will be dead before you can do anything with them.

Yeah I know that they come across a little weak, but I was trying to avoid the "overpowered" thing. I'm looking at point costs being around 70-100 points.
My very first ability for Need'rt was this:
Power Shock
All figures excluding Tweak, Twitch and Need'rt within 6 clears sight spaces of Need'rt are effected by Power Shock. Roll a d20 for all effected figures, on a roll of 1-10 nothing happens, on a roll of 11-19 all effected figures may not move or attack for the rest of the round, on a roll of 20 add one wound to all effected figures.
The bonding was also changed on all TNT Bros, the first bonding allowed you to move all 3 in the same turn.
Morph weapon used to reflect the ATTACK of the enemy figure.
Each will be on a different army card as well, Tweak on Ullar, Twitch Jandar and Need'rt on Vydar. (that may change of course to them all being Vydar)
As for Need'rt:
T.N.T. Wave
Special Attack
Range 2 , attack 3. While Tweak, Twitch
and Need'rt are within 4 clear sight
spaces of one another all enemy figures
within 2 clear sight spaces of Tweak, Twitch
and Need'rt must roll defense against 3 attack.
This attack was meant to coax people into using all three units at the same time and this ability may change, I have a real tough time with wording.
I love their abilities escpecially Cannonball Blow...very cool!

Great customs. I like the Sobe-Khai. I was thinking about doing some Sobekian Crocs for the back story I am inventing involving Sudema and Darklords. I will have to keep Crocodile Games in mind for some figs. I was looking for some lion people. The cat people are close but not exactly what I'm looking for. Back to your customs. I have given some suggestions on wording:
Sobe-Khai
Canabalistic Nature
When attacking another Sobe-Khai, the defending Sobe-Khai rolls 2 less defense dice.
Twice as Mean
Before moving, roll the 20 sided die. If you roll a 1-10, add 1 to the attack value on this card. If you roll a 11-19, each Sobe-Khai may attack one additional time. If you roll a 20 or higher, add 1 to the attack value of this card and each Sobe-Khai may attack one additional time.
I changed Canabalistic Nature to 2 less dice because stating the actual number of dice may increase the amount (nothing official would lower their defense yet). I took most of the wording for Twice as Mean from the Anubian Wolves.

Morph Weapon

Yeah origionally these guys had a nasty ability

Only the chosen figure is effected. I can't find a better way to word it other than the Clear LOS. It's been a few ways here and there but this is the best way I could find. :)

On Solid Snake, I don't get the Smoke Break power. How is do nothing different than take a turn with Solid Snake? I take it that Smoke Break is a weakness, not an advantage.

Soild is really neat, but I think he may be undercosted a shade.
This guy could end up getting a ridiculous move, I think there should be a cap.
Kevlar is neat, but I would think that it would merrit a much higher price than is.
With all the flash this guy packs, on the stat frame you put it all on, I see his price somewhere in the mid-high 100s. Kevlar and Cover me are just really powerful.
Cool fig, was wondering when someone was going to make Snake with that HC fig.

I agree that Cover Me might need a cap since Solid Snake is already a ranged hero. Also what is Smoke Break supposed to represent?
Anyway cool figure for a really cool character. I like the card a lot other than the two concerns posted above.

Here is my interpretation of Cannonball Blow SA ( :?: ):
Cannonball Blow Special Attack
Range 8, Attack 3. If Twitch did not move this turn, choose a figure in a straight line from Twitch to attack and place Twitch in the space at the end of the line adjacent to the chosen figure. All spaces between and occupied by Twitch and the chosen figure must be the same level. There may not be any obstacles or figures between Twitch and the chosen figure.
Tweak's Morph Weapon is not a special attack.
For Solid Snake's Smoke Break, I would go with 1 or 2, 3-18, and 19 or higher. But, that's just me. It increases the risk but also increases the chance that it is not just another turn with Solid Snake.
Cover Me
Add 1 to the move value of this card for each Army Card you control with the Soldier class to a maximum of +(#) for the Cover Me ability.
I would also limit the Cover Me ability. In a 400 pt. army of Marcus, 4 Romans, and Solid Snake, he would have a move of 10 at the start of the game. A little high. Now imagine a 500 -700 pt. army. :shock: I left the number to limit it to up to you.

I was trying to represent the Cigarettes or Cigars that snake always has in his tools items.
Tweak's Morph Weapon is not a special attack.

I understand but it does not follow the SA format. He can still make a normal attack if he fails the Morph Weapon roll, right? If that is the case then you can add "... instead of his normal attack." at the end of what you already have.

The figure comes in three differnt types as it goes up from Rookie. Yes I'm pretty sure it will be a common in the Horror Clix (http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g206/Kissarmy77/Horrorclix/) boosters.

He really is my Hero in many ways. I really hope to be 1/10th the man that he was.
He and my Grandmother were the glue of the family and both were truly one of a kind. Having a custom unit of him was one of the ways that I plan on honoring him. If it weren't for this man I wouldn't have all of the things that I do, material and emotional wise.

I like the arms and legs on the first one. They look more jackal-ish. Same for the head on the second one. Not sure what the head on the first one looks like. Can't place it but, it doesn't say Anubis to me. I like the body position on the first one better. The second is OK but he looks like a bare knuckle prize fighter squaring off against an opponent. Maybe he needs a weapon or a scepter or something in one of his hands.

That is a very nice way to honor your grandfather. The card turned out nicely, Great job Euryon and Lorax. I like the engineer ability, mainly because I am an engineer! I also like the "Big Red One" patch behind the stats, that is a nice little touch.

Yeah skyknight I am still around, I just haven't been here as much as I used to. Mainly for two reasons.
1. I have been playing other games lately.
2. This is the third site I have been through, .net, HQ and now this one. I am getting tired of starting over each time.
I have not given up on scapers I just won't be around as much.

Nah most of my customs are the same unit just different looking figures, :D
Like my Jay and Silent Bob Krav (which I will get the pics up of).
I like modding and repainting but not cards. It's not that I don't think it's fun, I just get more enjoyment out of making the units a little more custom, like Cthulhu Krug, Green Krug or (soon to be finished) Necro Krug customs, I still use a Krug card but not a Krug figure, :D

Each time Krug the Undead Inflicts a wound add one blood marker to this card, max of 3. For every Blood Marker on this card add +1 to Krug the Undead's Attack.
I'll paint up 3 wound markers in red to use as the Blood markers.
Devourer Bonding
Before taking a turn with Krug the Undead you may first take a turn with any squad of devourers you control.
I say Devourers because I assume the zombies will be devourers, :? If not he still has bonding with the Anubian Wolves, so no down side, :D

Cupid, Fabulous mod, I love it.
I do have problem or two with the stats when pared with his powers. At initial attack of 5 his 'Smell of Blood' power is going to get him up to 8 attack very quickly. At 120 point he's a little cheap for the attack rate.
Reverse bonding, I'm assuminmg he is an unique hero, is something I have experimented with and it works best when confined to a specifc unit. An enhance here may better serve the purpose.

The hardest part was chopping up his right side to make his shoulders slump more and put the giant gash in his torso.

Thanks for using my headless krug, CA! I feel honored that i could help with a sweet custom.
I think you should definately wait to do up an "official" card and paint job until you know what general the zombies are for and what color to paint him. Personally, i would also restrict him to just the wolves (for now, i guess) or just the zombies (when they come out).
My thoughts on the Smell of Blood: Start him at 2, and add 2 for each marker rather than starting at 5 and adding 1. You're final will still be 8, but the initial marker will be more of a challenge to achieve. I guess you could say that he has to hone his senses first...

Great work as usualy Cupid.
The ninja look great. Grey Fox, is that the ninja from Metal Gear? If so, that little metal rim you made in her face looks great. I'm not sure if it is metal gear or not, but the face looks familiar, and the one you modded matches the picture I have in my head.
The samurai look good, too. The faded colors, you did a great job. Little more colorful than I like my samaurai, but great skill, none the less.
The Nakita, I'm really digging the black and silver, except for the silver hair.
Undead Krug, very very good work. Took me a while to spot all of the flesh differences, which I really commend you for. The bulky HS figures can be a pain to get an exacto through. The paint job is very well done, and it looks great, just as rotting flesh should.
The Castle door is just a really neat, cleanly done mod. Very nice.

Yes and Yes.
I would move the base attack to 3 and allow up to five markers. This makes him more similiar to the living Krug.
As for the enhancement I would go with a movement enhancement, for two reasons; first the Zombies are likely to be slow and could use a plus one movement bonus, two if as we agree that they are most likely to be Vydar then will fit the general. If Ugtar then an attack bonus fits the general but not the need.

Dude, that is one gorgeous modification to Krug!!! He looks dispicably evil and downright primitive. The way those two arms hang down with the blades looks grrrrreat. NOW he has Double Attack!

I'd just like to chime in with the others on how impressive the Krug mod is. If you went into business selling those, I'd definitely buy one.
I personally don't think the zombies'll be Vydar, they don't seem to fit the theme of cunning and deadly so much, but we'll see....

Well there is going to be a story behind it involving Kee-Mo-Shi and Ne-Gok-Sa's control over him.
It will involve the moment he drank from the wellspring and changed into the blood crazed Taelord. Utgar knew he couldn't control Tae in his present state so he had both NGS and KMS create a necklace to bind Tae's mindless brute force into something more easily dealt with.
Afterwards Utgar realized the true potential of NGS and KMS's necklace and ordered them to fashion one to test on Realin. During Realin's rescue Drake had noticed the same necklace hanging from Taelord's neck and imediatly went to inform Jandar.
Jandar organized another rescue but this time for Tae, but they had no idea that the true nature of Tae was actually that of an even greater evil. The rescue went according to plan up until the moment the necklace was broken, that's when Taelord the Unbound was released.
That's why I dropped attack Enhancement for Blood Hungry.

His stats seem okay. He might be slightly underpriced, but just slightly. I am thinking of the fact that he is a soldier with a base of 6R, 3A. Then again it might be spot on, I never know with costs.
Frag Out is exactly the same as Grenade Special Attack (except 2 markers instead of 1) why not just call it Grenade Special Attack? We already have Grenade Markers, most people know how Grenade Special Attack works and would immediately know what it does. Just a suggestion.
I think Cog Armor needs a more definite time of when it triggers. Currently you could roll whenever you want (assuming he has 2 wounds), however many times you want, until all his wound markers are gone. For example; let's say he just received an attack that infliced 3 wounds. It is now at anytime and he has 2 or more wounds. Roll d20, get a 5. Shoot nothing happened. It is now at anytime and he has 2 or more wounds. Roll a d20, get a 12. Shoot nothing happened. It is now at anytime and he has 2 or more wounds.
See what I am getting at? More definate trigger time.
Chainsaw Bayonet is nothing new, but a special power that I always liked about Carr. I am looking forward to seeing the figure with a Chainsaw Bayonet. :D

I'm curious as to what the figure will look like for this, when I read the special abilities I thought it was a dragon, but looking at the info its an Undead Guard. Can't wait to see the figure. :D
Stats are okay, I think his normal attack can go up to at least 3? Maybe even 4. The way he is now, I would almost always use the Ice Shard Special Attack. Just a thought.
Adaptation is cool. I think rewording it a bit to take into account new terrain that might be on the horizon would be a good thing too. Something like "Primo is unaffected by any terrain effects." Or something like that...
Ice Shard Special Attack, nothing to say here because its an official power.
Obsidian Grenade, again another official power. Is there a typo or does this not require a grenade marker? If it doesn't thats awesome.
Its always nice to see a new blend of the official special powers and attacks. Can't wait to see this figure either!

I'm adjusting Primo again so to fit the mood of the custom figure I've been making. I am not intending on having a marker for the Obsidian Grenade because I don't feel that it's power will merit the need for a marker.
My biggest concern is the wording for Ancient Strength as well as the cost of the figure for it. I realize A.S. boosts the chances of getting a shield or skull a little but is it too much. I don't want to have to cost this guy near 200 points but I also don't want him to be a Power Creep.
The idea or theme of this unit is similar to the Balrog from LotR though the mini looks more like a cross between the Grim Reaper and a Genie. I'm not looking to make this guy like some Ancient Creature but rather an Ancient Deity from a lost religion.

One small comment, on the cover me power on solid snake, you used "it's" when you should've used "its". I wouldn't be an English GTA if I didn't point that one out ... :P

I'm assuming you are rolling white dice? If you are using the red or blue dice; the way I read it he will always roll all shields or all skulls. The other way to read it is that ONLY blanks count when rolling, and if thats the case then it lowers his chance of getting a skull on red dice and it would only be a 1/6 chance on the white dice. What exactly do you want the power to do, the different dice make it difficult to implement using blanks and stuff.
One thing you could do is use Valk. dice instead of normal dice....make the Utgar (assuming he's Utgar) symbol count as an additional skull or shield.
Oh, and that figure is fracking amazing. How are the miniature companies out there NOT banging down your door to hire you?

Yeah, it's from scratch. The armature (sp) and sprial lava mist at the bottom took the longest to make. There are a couple of more details that are on this mini that aren't pictured (I had to borrow a camera to get this pic up).
This figure's main intent was to test techniques with green stuff.
As for ancient power I really didn't think about the red and blue dice when I wrote the ability, :duh: I'll try to re-word it when I put text with the card. It might not be a bad idea to use a D20 on this, I'm just at a loss as to how I could word it, :? :D

Ha thanks, but I've already got a web person (that is if I haven't waited too long :lol:). Thank you for the kind words, I learned a lot from this piece, just like when I work in photoshop. This has been on the burner for a little while, adding little by little to him.

Bio for Grauknau
Created from the soul of an orphaned Elf child, Grauknau was summoned through the wellspring the moment before his death to replace Arlun, Seer of the Aupua as Hunter for the new tribe. Arlun served as the Hunter for the Land of Earth but since the Treaty of Tribes and the formation of the Aupua he has had little time for such things.
With the Help of Eiwenar, Hearer of the Aupua and Urtengar, Right Hand of the Aupua, Arlun brought forth the young orphan and gave him a choice. The boy could find Honor and Life as Hunter for the the New Tribe or return on his path to the Gods. The boy was fearful of his death and chose his path as Hunter, little did he know that the path he had chosen, would we covered in blood.
Knowing that the young boy would not survive the tasks ahead, Urtengar contacted Djrana, Left Hand of the Aupua. Together they Branded the boy with a New Body and Grand Weapons. Over the course of 15 years Grauknau would quiet many rebel tribesman and shed even more blood, but his latest task for the Aupua, would test his limits. His orders were to kill Emahney, Queen of the Rebels of Earth.
Grauknau set about his task under cover of night not knowing the truth, not knowing that Emahney was in fact a child. When the Hunter reached the rebel village he placed his sword to a young warrior's throat. He ordered the boy to take him to the Queen, and if the boy did so, his life would be spared.
Quietly they crept through the rundown streets until they reached a small hut. The boy whispered to Grauknau that this place, was home to the Queen. The Hunter put his sword down to his side and told the boy to run back to his post, and keep quiet.
Slowly Grauknau entered the hut, his blade tight, and ready for a killing blow, and then he saw it. In the center of the hut, surrounded by several of the Earth Tribes Totems sat a small pile of Pillows and Fur. In the center of this mass lay a young girl, no more than 4 Winters old.
Grauknau thought back as he looked down at the little Queen. could he have been betrayed by the same people who gave him life? Is he, with the title of Hunter, nothing more than a mear Assasin?
Grauknau dropped to his knees, sadness wrapping around his heart with every breath taken into his chest. Never, never again will he kill for the power hungry Aupua. When I think of a "Totem" I think, Totem Pole. Looking at the sculpt I'm trying to figure out what exactly it is and how it moves...it looks inanimate.
Anways, I LOVE the other second power. I do think you need to add a timing phrase in there, when does it happen? After moving?

Yeah good point Nether on the ability. I'll get thing reworded when I place it on a rough card on Sat.
This figure is actually a Mirror, another will be a shield, another will be a chalice, one will be an Axe and the Last will be a Gravestone.

Is there any need to say "unique or common" when choosing the hero? Is there any other kind?
You could just say-
Totem Bonding

Wow... that's an awesome ability! It has so much potential it's scary, and it could be insanely fun to use. (changing tarns to orcs it the first thing that comes to mind...) I love it...

The action of cursing the attacking unit happens after he is destroyed. If he is the last unit in my army and you destroy him, you win, regardless of wether or not yours were destroyed, because you were the final attacker who ended my army.
No I have no figures for the SAMU (Self Automated Military Unit). These guys were made WAY, WAY back, like when Wave 1 firt came out. I really didn't think there were going to be so many Soulborgs, so now, the name sounds a little, :roll:
The eventual plan for those guys was to give them a Black and White color scheme (a nod to Seaworld, :lol: ) but I really couldn't bring myself to change them. They were some of my first attempts at custom units.
My first custom may make it onto this thread at some point (finally found the finished version), but I'm more embarassed than anything with that one, :wink:

Excellent job, CA! I think he should have Smoke Powder like the Nakitas...it would fit with his Snake Oil Salesmen/Alchemist concept. I think his point value would remain the same with the Smoke Powder. Without it I would adjust his points to 50. Just my .02.
BTW, the figure is Snake Oil Salesmen/Dr. Barker (#37, 38 and 39) from the Horrorclix Freakshow set.

Well I had a new idea for a custom, not sure if anyone has done anything with Shiori yet, but I just don't like her, so I decided to find another purpose for the sculpt.
Not sure if her cost is right, but I think I've got it close to what I was looking for.

Nice abilities! Cancellation powers seem to take a lot of playtesting, so I'm not too sure about the points. Seems like a good place to start, though!

I just saw her in the gallery. Very nice! You can shorten Blindsided to "When Hanako attacks a unit with no unrevealed order markers on its army card, that unit can not roll defense dice," though.

That was how I had it worded the first time, but I was trying to avoid a rules lawyer saying that units with zero order markers on the card could still use defense.
She's going to get some playtesting this weekend when the guys come over.
Also I made her for Aquilla to fit with a Sujoah/Fyorlag Army, :D I've got something else in mind for Dünd, ;)

I really like that Blindsided power on Hanako,CA. I've been thinking a lot about figures that take advantage or pay attention to the number of revealed/unrevealed order markers on their card or the defending figure.

I've been wanting to do a unit with a Blindsided type ability, too, it's a great idea for an assassin figure. Although it seems that with the movement range and stealth she has she can pretty much bounce around and kill anyone she wants. It's almost like a ranged Kill ability. Of course, it's an opening strength only as it becomes irrelevant in the end game when there are less figures "just standing around". Should be interesting to see how the points work out in that respect. Nice job.
