HS Dreamin

Okay, so a first for me last night. I had a frightening nightmare. And it involved HS characters.

Ever have one of those dreams where there's a huge giant monster of some sort coming for you, and you run as fast as you can to hide from it, but no matter where you go it knows where you are and keeps coming after you? That was the basic dream (hadn't had that kind of dream since I was a kid). Except this time the big bad monster chasing me was . . . . . DW9K.

Except an insanely huge DW9K. Like the scale of godzilla in the old movies. My family and a bunch of people barely made it into a movie theater, which turned out to be a concrete bunker (must have been an underground theater - OPrime, like Randolph theater). DW was outside with a huge metal claw, trying to shoot his way in and grab us.

Anyway, I'm the guy who never, ever remembers his dreams. But this one was extended and freaky. So:

To dream that you are followed by a monster, signifies that grief and misfortune are in your immediate future. Monsters represent parts of yourself that you find brutish and ugly. You may possess some fears or some repressed emotions.

I've had several HS dreams, usually about building maps.

simply put: i dont dream. people say that i do dream, i just don't remember them, but i strongly disagree. I will remember maybe 3 dreams per year, and even then they will only be stored in my memory for 3 days tops. SO, i dont dream.

But its probably stress related to things going on in your life right now.

Dreams generaly include recent events or stuff in life jumbled up in some weird results.

I remember a dream I had where an Alien creature was at my work and started eating all the dogs, then it chased me outside into the street.

I was getting ready to get married,
which was causing stress at work,
and I watched a alien type movie.

Weird, but basicaly all stuff goin on at the time.

I find that dreams usually have to do with current life - it could either be about some anxiety or fear in your life now as Revdyer mentioned.

It could also have to do with playing lots of Heroscape before bed. I find that if I play a game for a long time and go to bed I sometimes dream about the game - or anything else I've been at for a long time.

Some researchers believe dreams help us sort our memories so that might be why things that are in our immediate memory sometimes make it into our dreams.

UD - That's EXACTLY what my dream looked like.

Regarding the dream interp - that's the weird thing: my life is going really well right now. I'm not facing surgery, financial distress, marital or relational problems, complications at work, etc. I can truly say that by God's grace my life is very smooth at this point. So not sure why I would dream about something that typically points to stress or anxiety.

My theory at this point: some of you may remember my "DW9K Support Group thread" back on HQ. There I spoke against DW9K quite ardently, exposing his manipulation and dysfunction. Perhpas DW9K has learned some psychic power from Ne-Gok-Sa and is now using that power to manipulate my dreams from the basement.

I have had two dreams that I can remember involving Heroscape. Both of them were dreams where I was in a retail store and found HUGE displays of HS stuff. In one dream I was finding tons of stuff I'd never seen nor heard of, and in the other I was finding tons of Wave 1 (back when they were mightily scarce). Both times I was very disappointed when I woke up.

And I'm 36 years old.

I need to be medicated.

I had my first heroscape dream this morning and when i checked my mail my tundra,vision where there oh so pretty id think that these two expansions are the best looking yet.for some reason i have the urge to keep the tundra i the box but that's not going to happen...did the cards get thinner again these feel like napkins.

Yes yes. If I remember correctly orc archers are a Jungian archetype for . . . uh, yeah, probably not appropriate to repeat in public.

I have this same type of dream often. Except not with DW9K. Usually it is some sort of giant, more like Jotun. :shock:
