Skyknight's thoughts on other scapers! Card creation!

Alright, well here is the deal. I see quite a few people about on this site and some of you I have really grown to like. As I guess it is with everybody I am starting to get a real feel for how people's personalities and traits are. There are quite a few of you I would go out of my way to meet. I know that there are a couple of threads for humurous cards, but I thought I would start one of a little more serious nature, but also I wanted playable characters. These cards are kinda what I think about people here. I am only going to put up the positive things so if you are offended by something let me know and I will remove it. Some of you I would like to make cards out of but I really don't think your avatar will make a serious card (GrungeBob :P ). I will do this as I get time but I have alot of irons in the fire between customs, maps, custom terrain, and general BSing. hope you guys like. I will start off with mine and go from there.

My tribute to Ninthdoc, I know alot of people who talk about what a pain the cops are but I do not feel this way. I obey the laws and I am always glad to see a cop, not nervous. if you do not like cops I think you need to reflect on your own life a bit. Thanks Ninth for your service :)

Imax is a tough nut to crack. You **** him off and you are going to get a scathing tongue like you have never seen( I know :P ). Under this though is a real nice guy with a very creative spirit. Imax is a huge contributor to this site and I am glad he is here.

aaahhh the Rev, since day one pretty much on this site I have been chatting with the rev, for those of you who do not know him he is humble enough to not tell you these things I will say. An extremely articulate, kind, and humurous pious man from what I have learned. I have enjoyed our civil war talks to our religion talks as well. You would think a man who preaches nearly twice a day would want a break from talking about religion, and maybe that is why he is here, yet he is always willing to listen. He is never forceful in his talks and I always leave feelin better. Thanks Rev. I created these abilities for my Silver Dragon but they kinda fit your character as well so I gave them to you. I hope you like.

Alright on to Grungebob, probably one of the most level headed admins around. Not only is he admin but he also takes time to bullcrap with us, I appreciate it. Most of the time he is impartial but every now and then he gets a stick in. Thats where the little knife comes in :D He was also a medic at one time so I will pay tribute to that as well. Here you go boss.

Alright onto Rhydderch, while I do not know Rhyd as well as some of you, he gets a card because of his enthusiasm when it comes to custom figs. If you ever need honest debate on one of your figs rhysd is the man to ask, he is by far one of the best Custom Appraisers on this site. This ones for you Rhyd :wink:

Ahhh the reverend speaks up as well as UD and Grunge. Kinda funny those were the next three cards I was thinkin about. I have some great ideas for yours Rev. as people see this please comment all you want but do not beg me to do your card. Many of you I talk to but I really don't have a definite feel for your personality. Some folks are louder than others and they are easy to figure out. I do not want anybody's feelings hurt by this. And yes Ud, you gave me the idea. but yours are humurous where I actually want playable figures who reflect their owners. And yes UD I believe after hours of chat just like the Rev I have a good feel of who you are. yours will be here soon.

Well gee I dunno Skyknight.. I mean, speaking for a guy--if you try to crack my nuts, I'd be pretty peeved too. And since, I'd be immobile for a fraction of time, the only thing I'd be able to do is give a tongue lashing..which would be directed to the general moment of agony, but you have every right to feel it suited to directed to you, being that you were the last action that occurred before the scathing tongue attack. :wink:

And since it's temporarily damaged, it would most definately put a pause on the contribution of the creative spirit. And I don't think that's a good thing at all. :headshake:

There were a few random People cards back in the day. I recall a Grungebob with that red Spongebob pic and someone made a serious attempt at a playable Turtleboy card too, complete with figure.

I'm not sure if I remember any of the other people cards. Its been a long time and I never saved those to my HD.

Turtleboy did you back up nothing from net? It seems everything that has been done you did over on net from what you are saying. Did you not save any files? This is like the third or fourth post in the past two days I have seen you say you did first.

Ya know? Let's try to ease up on the whole "We had that on .net a year ago" type responses. Somebody has the drive to post their creations, don't **** in their Weaties by saying that it has been done. Is there anything you can say that is more constructive than "I already did that on .net"? How about: "Hey I was working on something like this a while back and would love to add my stuff to yours and collaborate" Or even: "Hey I'm glad your doing this because I did something similar and LOST all of mine when .net went down".

First, a huge thanks to skyknight for such a cool card. UD made some great ones on the HQ, but they were made for fun and humor and ultimately not playable, although I don't think he was looking for something that was playable. What's cool about sk's creations is that, OMG, I could totally see these units on the field (and I have a Nick Fury clickie - the real one, not the Sam Jackson knock-off due out next week - love Sam Jackson, not hatin', but classic Nick Fury was probably one of my first true comic book heroes and ultimately nobody can replace him).

Next, to be honest, I never saw the cards on .net. I was only a registered member there for about a week before it went down. I had only owned my 1 Heroscape Master Set and 1 set of all Wave 1 expansions for about a month prior to signing on to .net. I'd been lurking on .net and checking out 'truth's xanga site for several months before that. This community was the first one that I ever joined.

Lastly, cbs, IMHO, UD could single-handedly power the Heart of Gold and replace the Infinite Improbability Drive w/a more efficient Redundant Epic Active Post Epic Randomization Engine (R.E.A.P.E.R Engine) (Yes, this is a peace offering...).

I'm glad you like Ninth. These cards are meant to be played, yours was really nice because I knew you would have a mini. at least I was hopin you would. I am just about to put up GB, but I wish I had a better avatar to work with. Not that I do not like your avatar GB, it is just a little hard to make it tough :P Hey Rev I saw a great mini for you in the horrorclix stuff. Its a priest holdin a werewolf in the air by the neck. Can't remember where I saw it. You would have to paint him white though. I believe he was a black guy. I was alos thinkin about redoin your card to include a skill like BATTLEFIELD KNOWLEDEGE, something where everyone who passes by your character gets +2 move. I will see later.

TB, I don't see what's wrong with doing this here. It's funny, and it's just for fun. And while you were absent for a while, Sky and I have had quite a bit of interaction, and know each other well enough for me to say that this was pretty damned spot on.

Alright next card, sorry this has taken me so long but I am maintaining 3 or 4 major threads other than this to include, terrain, customs, maps and everything else. Sometimes it get s a bit hard to keep up. Anyways on to our next canidate.
UltraDoug, first off UD i know this is not the avatar you wanted but I like it better than the kinda kid one you had. While that was ok it was not really playable. This new guy, well any knight figure will do. As far as the special goes it is a new mechanic I am working on for my time knight custom, I have not got it perfected or worded right yet but that seemd to work better with your character :wink:
Alright ode to UD here we go. First fact, did you guys know Ud does not even really play Heroscape that much? Then why is he here? Why spend all that time here if the core subject does not even really pertain to you. Well the reason is Doug is just a good guy. when I talk to Doug I am reminded of the janitor on Breakfast club when he tells the kids," I know all your dirty little secrets, I know everything about you". Doug is the ears of this site, don't believe me? Ask him a question sometime about someone on this site, 99% of the time he knows.
Doug and I talk nearly every morning, it is always ggod for a laugh. This is the first online site I have ever belonged to. In a manner of speaking "this ain't my bag baby" so maybe I am talking out of my ass here. i do not know if people actually develop friendships on these kind of sites but I believe that Doug and I have become pretty good friends over the past six months or som, I enjoy his company and like I said he always makes me laugh, that is good. I am not going to get to specific with this thread because, well just because. I just want to tell HS land though that NinthDoc may well be one of the very coolest people I have ever known. Everyone has been talking about how nice Ninth is on these boards and how much nicer he is in real life. i gotta tell you I believe every word of it. Ninth has always been really cool to chat with and even when we disagree on things it is always water under the bridge.....So I propose a toast.... Sorry for butting in here. I've been thinking about mentioning this for a while, but I googled UD yesterday to see what he was saying about this situation, if anything, on the many other sites he has an account. Just a bit of irony is that this is about the only place that UD hasn't gone and assumed a new username, or deleted.

Minivan, He can't do that here since he's been banned. I've been told by a few people that his sites and material have been being deleted from the web. I don't know if it's anger, hurt, or paranoia. I haven't talked to him since last week.
