Hi guys,
I am thinking about purchasing some MageKnight figures,so, before I shell out some hard earned cash, tell me please, is MageKnight any good?

I have a big Mage Knight Dungeons collection, but I've only played it solo twice. It's not a bad game. The click thing is a little to fiddly for me though.
Never played vanilla Mage Knight, so I don't really know anything about that.

This was my auction:

When you have Heroscape, why bother with Mage Knight?
I only held back on the figures that I thought might make good customs and took a bath on the rest practically giving it all away.
I miscalculated the shipping and it cost twice as much as it shoud have.
Mage Knight was fun but in contrast with HS there's no contest.

No. Not compared to Heroscape.
Lets see...if Heroscape was a diamond, Mage Knight would only be copper.
Diamonds are MUCH better than copper. Heroscape is MUCH better than Mage Knight.
Don't bother. I mean, if you wan't, you coudld buy the game itself, try it out, and decide for yourself. If you like it, then you don't think like me. If you don't like it, make the figures you get into customs, or trade them off here. There's always a use for them.

I hear mixed reviews. Check the game's listing on BoardGameGeek.com.
I've played MageKnight Dungeons and think its okay, but the game didn't really take off enough....it doesn't feel like they released all the stuff they wanted to. Plus all MageKnight games contain blind purchase boosters....ick.

Well, mageknight was wizkids cash cow for several years, so it must not be that bad.
It is a dead game though.

It's dead, which means you can pick it up cheap. The regular game was broken, then they tried to fix it and made it slightly better, but created all new problems to go with it. Dungeons was probably the best part. Still, cheap figures to make into HS customs isn't a bad deal.

Being a dead game means it is cheap to get into and try. Try for yourself.

Mage Knight was fun but Mage Knight Dungeons was better. MKD was probably one of WK's better releases. Fun, not too complex and easily supports multiplayer (even solo play is possible). You can pick up MKD Starters relatively cheap and you don't need many figures for the monster pool (the more the merrier though).

(the more the merrier though).Definitely. It gets old quickly fighting the same monsters every time.
