Well, let's see...I speculate that since "ash" is both a tree and the residue of a fire, and "garu" is a lot like "guru," then these guys must be master teachers of how to burn down trees to make baseball bats.

There has been an ongoing and looping debate on this forum for awhile now about wether the "Riflemen" in the Riflemen and Spearmen pack in the upcoming Wave 7 will be Ashigaru.
It's a neverending argument that will only be resolved by the release of pics or the wave itself.
My personal opinion is that while Ashigaru used smoothbore long guns:unsure: and thus were not "riflemen", hasbro is still calling them riflemen for ease of naming on the package. Me thinks we put too much faith in the fact that this game is that historically accurate... :)
Oh and by the way...

:hijacked:Well, people still, often, call the 4th Massachusetts Line "Minute Men" when they were most certainly not. Historical accuracy is not the top priority, I suspect, either here or with Hasbro.

Wow I hate these threads. I think there has only been one good thing said in three pages. You can always preorder whatever you want somewhere. It's obvious. Unless HMG or or Heroscape put up an official preorder I don't think it's worth getting excited over. Sorry for my cynicalism and bluntness it's just I'm sick of false leads.

AMEN! Just this morning I had a LONG email from a customer saying that they had just pre-ordered a LOT of stuff from another online retailer because I didn't have the pre-order option available on my site. Perhaps this snippet from my response will have value for some of you:
So you see from the above explanations, I've given this whole issue (i.e., pre-ordering) a lot of thought. I want to treat my customers fairly and not raise false hopes that products will arrive earlier than they really will. And I want them to get the best price, too. Frankly I get very annoyed when I go on HeroScapers.com and see an announcement that someone has something available for pre-order. So? Just because it’s pre-ordered, it won’t arrive any faster than it would from me. And in reality, it may arrive even slower depending on how quickly the retailer receives the product and how quickly they can ship. And just one more thought: My pricing will be significantly less than (many other online retailers) because they raised their prices based on Hasbro’s price increase. I’m trying to “hold the line” on most new items and stay with Hasbro’s MSRP (which amazingly didn’t increase despite the increase in the wholesale price.)
I hope this doesn't cause a maelstorm and I didn't mean to offend anyone.
Just my :2cents:

I am not annoyed nor am I offended Sandra. I can understand your frustration about the lack of product. I can also understand why you would be annoyed by other threads about online ordering from other sites. But since anyone can post pretty much anything they want there are bound to be threads like this.
The person that decided to shop elsewhere is crazy in my opinion. Your service and dedication to HeroScape and also this community specifically are incomparable in my book and I recommend you to anyone that will listen to me.
So I'll say it again to knuckleheads that gripe about saving a dollar or two or the contingent that demands a pre-sale before news is even available....SHOP AT HOUSEMOUSE GAMES! For Pete's sake she is a site supporter. She gives the most direct news we get from Hasbro about distribution. She supplied everything for last year's GenCon tourney (at a huge loss to her I'm sure). She is a friend to this community as a whole and she gives back to us all the time. Spending an extra dollar or two is money well spent when it comes back to you in some shape or fashion in the end.
Cheer to you Sandra! :toast: You have my business to the end.

Well i will definitely be pre-ordering from Sandra and quite frankly i would rather wait until we did get confirmation about a release date before pre-ordering or i will just end up getting more and more disappointed everytime it got put back.
Sandra you are doing a wonderful job for this community and you will have my custom because you have great communication with this site on new revelations and your customer service is Top Notch! :D

The hunt or the wait? Seriously you must have a magical Walmart if you can find five sets of any given wave within two weeks of its initial release.

Exactly. And since I need 5 sets of each wave how long would I be waiting? Gas isn't exactly cheap either. Daily trips hunting for Scape are fun when you are a college kid or your greatest responsibilities are to your gaming group, but this family man needs it to be easy and HMG is as easy as it gets.

That's what finally starting to hit me. The gas costs of searching are one thing, but the sheer loss of time is pretty substantial. The hunt is fun and all, but the time between release and available is far too long to keep searching the traditional way. Wave 7 will arrive at my door by mail, no question.

Furthermore, she supports the tourney scene and this website with prizes and stuff.

I love the hunt and of course cheap price is fantastic. But I don't have the time to scour stores and waste gas in the effort.

The stickers have been on the shelves at my Toys-R-Us for a couple months at least. But seeing as how much time & gas I spent looking for things, I'm just going to wait until I have $150 worth of HS to buy and order from HouseMouse.
