View Full Version : Thormun Figure?

Apparently, Thormun is a very important character in Heroscape. I think there should be a figure of him for the game... I mean, he's a scout for Jandar's Army, and now he's officially joined. Maybe he should be in the Kee-Mo-Shi pack.
Anyway... I think Thormun is supposed to be like the Heroscape equivalent of Thor... then again someone could argue that so could Thorgrim... ANYWAY...

hmm. never thought of it that way. would make sense to have Thormun as a unit also.

Is there a new journal entry? I didn't know he'd joined....I'll have to go check this out.

I don't think they will make a figure for him.

Care to offer an explanation as to why or why not? You're always very brief! :-P

Well I think He is a important part to the story line but so was Ke-Mo-Shi and she never showed up.

they have already said they're going to make her a fig.
one thing is for sure, he'd be a scout, as per his journal, for Jandar.

thorum is that dude in the drake alexander comic right? Well if your talking about him, I dont think they will make one. It was just a name of a viking warrior, and I dont think he has the leadership skills to be a Hero, so I doubt one will come.

No, he is the one that discovered the first wellspring, and the writer of Thormun's Jornal.

Some one should send an email to Hasbro about this.

OMG WOW. I cant believe I didnt remember that. Sorry about it guys. I dondt think hasbro will make a figure of him, and if they bring him into the game, I think he will be a general whos troops are allied on Jandars side.

Thormun is a very important character in the HS storyline.
He is an older kyrie whose life was extended by drinking from the wellsprings. He serves as a scout in Jandar's army, so a figure could be made for him; although front line combat does not seem to be his strength.
His image in the Journal reminds me of Odin. I think he would make for a nice support figure like Kelda, but I doubt they'll make a figure for him.

I also agree with Annerios and Fallen Templar on this one though we may see a Thormun figure later on as some sort of promo figure.
Maybe as a scout Thormun could have an ability that lets you see order markers on an enemy figure. Would be an easy way to give him a unique support ability.

As for making a figure for Thormun, I don't think it will be done.
Thormun is a minor character on the battlefields of Valhalla. He does not like the war, indeed he ran away from it (sticking his head in the sand so to speak). He later joined with Jandar as a scout (not a warrior) only because he realized his earlier inaction caused the death of family and friends at the hands of Utgar's minions. Thormun believes he himself is responsible for the wars as her discovered the wellspings and their power. Thormun chose to support Jandar, as Jandar was an Archkyrie and as such one of the true leaders of Valhalla. Utgar was simply a Kyrie with delusions of grandeur until the wellsprings gave him his powers.
Thormun's character is as the chronicler, Valhallan historian, the recorder of events as they happen. You can think of him as the embedded reporter within Jandar's forces (and like Geraldo he keeps mentioning Jandar's plans!)
When you re-type the entire Thormun's Journal, you pick up the nuances of Thormun's character ....

Here's an example of what would happen if we asked Hasbro about this?
Dear Hasbro,
I play Heroscape and was wondering if you'll ever produce a Thormun figure. Thanks for your time.

I echo Malechi's comments.
Here is a good model for a custom of Thormun:

I was thinking the exact same thing. It makes the opponent reveal order markers.
