Diamond and Pearl boast compatibility with many other Pokémon games. They can connect with the Game Boy Advance Pokémon RPGs after earning the National Pokédex, when the Pokémon Game Boy Advance cartridge is inserted into slot 2 (the Game Boy Advance cartridge and accessory slot of the Nintendo DS) while Diamond or Pearl is in slot 1 (the DS card slot). Personally, I hate Pokémon,(I used to play the games, but now I think they're whack) but Pearl and Diamond looks pretty cool. I remember a few months ago PoF went to this sight where you can look at some of the Pokemon that were gonna be on Pearl/Diamond and they looked freakin' sweet!!!!! The show will always and forever be the worst show ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
But the games are kinda cool 8)

I loved the Pokemon series and played EVERY game, but I think this is the point where I say goodbye the the little critters.

These games just take too much of a time investment for me anymore. It was great in college battling the guys and gals in my classes but anymore I just have too much work.

I'm certain I would love them but they are starting to appear like WoW does to me know. Too much time and $$ for no real return, :?

Plus I can barely keep track of all the species we had from the older games, and now they're adding new ones :shock: . I don't think I have the Brain-space for these guys, :D

Serebii says you can't K.O. them 'cause you can't battle them, and Park Balls have a 100% success rate.

That's Pokemon Battle Revolution. It's like Pokemon Stadium, except with online. Not as fun without Diamond/Pearl, but still looks like it'll be a fun one.

And a Pokemon game on PSP is like a Mario game on PS3.

Like most Nintendo products it is kid-friendly and has a crunchy candy coating on it, but yes, Pokemon does have remarkably deep gameplay. I bought the first one many years ago after reading a review thinking I would give it a shot, but wasn't expecting much. I was amazed at the game design and was immediately sucked in. I kept saying, "I've never played anything like this," over and over.

Well it is really a matter of style and prefrence. There is no "get these Pokemon cause they are best list." It really all depends on what kind Pokemon you like, and the style of fighting you enjoy. Everybody is going to have a different list of favorites; you really have to decide on your own.

They are pokemon that's skin color is different from what it's supposed to be.(if that makes sense) A Charizard's skin color is red-orange, but a shiny Charizard's skin color is black. I think the shiny Tyranitar is pink. Now do you get it?

BTW, the chances of finding one in the wild is like 1 in something thousand. Whatever it is, I know it's very, very, very, very unlikely to find one.

To transfer Pokemon from the gameboy advanced version to Pearl or Diamond, you have to beat the Elite Four and then go to the Pal Park in Route 221 in either Pearl or Diamond.

I had crystal, ruby, firered(I still own ruby(currently playing it now) and firered) I don't own pearl, or diamond but I post here cause I am a fan of the pokemon series. Yeah I miss crystal soooo much. Actually, I forgot what happened to it. It was the farthest I had gotten out of any pokemon game I've owned. I had 3 level 100 pokemon, and like the rest were 70's and 80's. I had also beat the Elite 4 like 500 times. Ohhhhhhhhhh............ the memories.

Holy crap!!!!!! lvl. 60 already and its only been out for no more than a week (I think). I've had I've been playing ruby for like a month or so and when I left off, my poke were at like 45, and they're at 52-56 right now. How long do you play that thing? :shock:

Between myself and my little brother we have: Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Firered, Leafgreen, Emeraldx2, Diamond, and Pearl.(thats every game except gold - at the time I did not have enough money to get it to complete my collection. :cry: )

He will ask you 2 questions. The first one's answer is "Everyone Happy", the second one is "Wifi Connection". The man will not return if you don't get it right. Save before.You will now have mystery gift in your options when you turn it on. It is the only way to get three ledgendaries. Sahymin, Darkrai, and Arceus. Arceus uses the plates to change his type. He is L.80 when you try to capture him. Look on Nentindo's site to see when they are going to do the event. You use wi-fi to get it. This is what I been told. I still haven't figured out how to do it with a friend or wireless.

If you have a gamboy advance and a action replay, you get master balls, load them on to weak poke'mon, and send to Pal Park. This is a way to capture Arceus with ease.

I was severely disappointed by Roserade but i may have just given it a wrong move set!? My Vespiquen is great so far.

Can get to the fourth person in the Elite four without any heal items. My rule of thumb, your party should all be at level 60. My friend beat them with a level 70 Empoleon. He only used his Palkia twice. He had almost no PP in the end.

It is ridiculous! All my good guys were girls untill I got two other good ones that were guys. I just kept getting girls.

So I keep reading how rare it is to get a Combee from a honey tree. I must be lucky. First time I tried it, male Combee. Put honey on came back a few hours later another male Combee. Stop and reload my save twice and got a female one level 15. Working that up to evolve into the Vespiquen at level 21. Don't know how useful it will be my main 3 Pokemon is the Chimchar, Budew, and Misdreavus.
I was severely disappointed by Roserade but i may have just given it a wrong move set!? My Vespiquen is great so far.

Hmm I use the Budew mainly for paralyzing and sucking energy down on Pokemon I want to catch.

I have a level 24 Vespiquen now and it seems like a great Pokemon so far too.

Yes, it does! It is possible to obtain all 493 Pokemon from every game, and the best part is, the only Pokemon that arn't obtainable in Diamond and Pearl are the exclusives from the opposite version and older starters/legendaries. I only have them because you can tranfer Pokemon from the GBA games into it. Must people get them that way, or trade over the GTS.

Id rather have the next game return to those regions, yet have new ones. Maybe the order would be.


New region, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Shinho, new region. Then there could be cool battle towers, new islands, and more leagues.

Gold and Silver... The glory days of pokemon... They introduced more innovative and exciting ideas in those games than DP and RS combined. Ruby and Saphire were merely watered down rehashes of Gold and Silver. Diamond and Pearl got a wee bit closer, but were still nothing near s glorious as Gold and Silver.

What made G&S so wonderful was the connection of the game to Red and Blue. You could see how the different places in the world of pokemon were connected and interrelated. You could see the changes that occured to Kanto over time. In R&S they almost completely cut off the rest of the pokemon world. Ruby and Saphire were steps backward in my opinion.

Also, G&S had the largest pokemon overworld to date. And the neatness of radio and the telephone... And a bunch of fun time-based events and side-quests... The sheer nostalgia of it overcomes me!

The only reason I bought pearl is because I'm addicted. :oops:

hench my idea of bringing back all regions plus more. Plus, new things happen as the game goes on. By beating the hoenn elite 4, a new area opens in kanto. Imagine if instead of a new pokedex each time, you only used a national dex and saw a blend of new and old pokemon through out the game.

I don't have D/P (or a DS for that matter) so I won't be able to trade em' to you guys, but today I have finally caught all of the Regi's. I caught Regirock easily with an Ultra Ball. I have also discovered the easy, and cheap way to catch Regi's........ the Poke Ball. Yes, you heard me, a Poke Ball. Not an Ultra, or Great, or Timer, or Master, but a Poke. To explain: I was facing Registeel, and I just barely got him into red HP (meaning he was at a high HP for red). So to waste time and rounds so my Timer Ball's power would increase, and so Registeel could use 'Curse' to increase his defense so I could use a weak attack and get him to a sliver of HP, I decided to throw Poke Balls (I had like 60, plus they're cheap) the first, and second throw were unsuccessful, but to my surprise, on the third throw, it shook three times and then stopped. To my amazement, I had caught a Registeel with a Poke Ball!!!! And I caught Regice with a Poke Ball while it was sleeping. Just thought I'd tell you guys my crazy and awesome 'Regi' moments.

Something strange happened to my Diamond game last week. Usually you get a different swarm each day right, well last week i had the same swarm (dunsparce) all week and the Pastoria Restaurant (the place with double battles) never changed either so i couldn't battle anyone. Since we're kinda talking about breeding, how the heck does a baby learn an egg move! I've breeded tons of times and the pokemon never learn the baby moves! Gaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! It's annoying because I wanna create the ultimate pokemon. Any help or tips is helpful. Also, has anyone gone to Mirage Island and if so, what pokemon did you use? And is there anyway to know how to get to Mirage Island (like tips on which pokemon to use) BTW, this is for all people that have had Ruby/Saphire. Thanks! :D

The father of a Pokemon, if he has any moves that can be an egg move for the female's species, will pass down moves. For example, if you breed a Pokemon with Surf with a female Squirtle, the baby will be born knowing Surf.

Well, the male has to KNOW them. But it's a 100% chance of passing them on, so you must be messing up somehow...

Speaking of breeding...this is probably the greatest thing to ever happen to me in the world of Pokemon. To put a long story short:

I put a Ditto with a Hitmonlee, and got a Tyrogue (obviously). The level 5 pokemon was born with Tackle, Brick Break, and High Jump Kick. I then evolved it into Hitmonchan. Hitmonchan with High Jump Kick :D

Personally, I thought that was the funniest thing in the world.

Since I'm raising a Zubat so I can get Crobat, I was wondering if any of you knew any tips or tricks to raise your pokemons happiness(since to get a Crobat, you need to maximize happiness). I just hatched it from an egg, so I am training it from the beggining. Also, I heard just using the Pokemon, and making sure it doesn't faint boosts happiness, but I want more easy and simple ways to raise happiness. Also, a question has been lingering on my mind for a time: Does the number of times you heal a pokemon at a pokecenter lower there happiness?(if they didn't die, you just wanna heal them) This is just a random question and I wanna know the answer! Thanks guys!

The only things that lower Happiness is Dying and leaving them with Status Conditions. Giving them things like Protein, Iron, etc, will boost hapiness. Just walking around with them in your party does, too. And, of course, giving him a daily massage at Veilstone (in D/P).

Oh, and give him a Soothe Bell. That makes them happier twice as fast.
