Hello, has anyone tried this game out? I have been looking at it and it looks pretty good. I am not sure if I want to get into the painting hobbies with figures again. http://privateerpress.com/WARMACHINE/default.php here is a link to there main site.

I got into it a couple of years ago mainly because of the figure sculpts. Man, I really dug 'em and they almost painted themselves. I played a couple of friendly games at my FLGS, nothing too hardcore. Then, I played in a more competitive arena and got carved up like a Christmas goose  . Sadly for me, I don't have the time to play it a lot (which you need to do) and study all the various combos (which you have to know how to counter/watch for) to be any kind of decent player at it. I'm sure you've already heard of the Sorcha "wind rush/freeze" trick  .
Still, it is a fun game and I applaud their sculptors. Hope you enjoy it.

I tried a demo of it. The sculps are very nice and I really liked the concept of the game. But as it turned out I liked some other miniatures games I demo'd better so I never got into it. I have way to many mini's to paint as it is so it's hard to add another game to the list.

I have not played it I dled the rules they look pretty good. I just wanted to get some peoples opinions about the game. I am kind of stuck between Warmachine, AT-43 or Memoir 44. I have Battlelore all ready and its a great game.
