These stories are based on actual HS games played by this Heroscaper. They are spiced up battle reports. i just thought it would be more fun to tell them in the form of a story. So without further adoo, the Tales of a Scaper will now begin.....
Intro:
Long have the Valkyrie believed they were the only major factions in the war. Long have they fought amongst themselves, deviding themselves, killing themselves, and leaving their men to rott. Perhaps they have forgotten about the time when there were 6 Valkyrie. Yes, they may have forgotten about how they stripped him of his powers, and left him for dead. But he...I have not. When a warrior is mortally wounded and left for dead on the battle field, it is I who comes to their rescue. It is I who nurses them back to health. It is I who unites the fallen. And it is I who will have revenge! Their presumed comrades are now following me. Along with their powers and skills, they bring information. The weaknesses of the strongholds, the supply lines, you name it. No secret is kept from my benevolent ear. Over the years, i have grown strong. Strong enough to win, maybe not, but enough to make myself heard, oh yes!
Chapter 1: The Forsaken Bridge:
The drums beat mercilessly, the wind was still, and the first rays of dawn burst through the trees. I walked up to my general, Thorgrim the Viking Champion. "Are we ready General?" I asked him. "Believe da men be ready for combat. Ye give thine word and we shalth advance." he replied, "Raelin hath reported resistance." "Really? What kind of resistance?" I asked. "It doth not look good, sir. They be exspecting us. Marros and Death Walkers. A boned dragon, by the name of Su-Bak-Na and a rider by the name of Me-Burk-Sa be their generals. A squad of Marros Drones and Warriors stand ready for war, some Zettians and, dear me, by the looks of it, 3 re-programed omnicrons. It won't be easy sir." Thorgrim answered heavily. I turned to the battle field. This would be where it could all ends? A grassy field ladened with trees and hills. A lake filled with...what appears to be marro poisons. A bridge. Across it laid a barren waistland. Once a large castle, now simply piles of ruble and ruins. The bridge would be crucial. Not only was it the key to their side of the map, it was the highest point on the map. I turned back to Throgrim. "Get your men ready, i want Raelin and her forsaken rats at the rear. We march in an hour."
Of course, the Marro generals had other plans. The began marching immediately. We saw them rush to the bridge. "QUICKLY GENERALS, TO YOUR FORMATIONS!" I shouted. There was no hope of beating them to it. "PULL BACK, LET THEM COME TO US!" Where is that damn backup? We called for them days ago. It turns out the marros were cocky, the believed half their force would be able to kill us all. THey might have been right. Both generals rushed the bridge, with only some drones for back up. Even that force posed a threat. As they reached the top of the bridge, we prepared our blades. Thats when it happend! A chopper came hurtiling past us, 4 men jumped out of it, 4 parachutes. The Elite were here! The foolish generals left their deathwalkers turned off back at base. The Marros at base were allowed to sleep also. Our Elites came down on the helpless sleeping enemies, guns ablaze and gernades a flying. In a split second all the Marro Warriors went down before the gernade blasts. An omnicron soon followed. The Generals on the bridge rushed back to portect their comrades. Raelin's rats rushed forward and engaged the drones. Hopelessly out numbered, the drones fell. Sadly, a rat went down with them. It was sad for Raelin, but she kept strong, and continued forward. By the time the enemy generals got back to their base, all 3 omnicrons were dead. The elites killed Su-Bak-Na, and severly damaged Me-Burk-Sa. The Zettians awoke in a fury, and rushed to Me-Burk-Sa's aid. The elite finally fell, but not before we captured the bridge. It was Thorgrim's chance to shine. He and his Samurai showed the Metal Robots how true steal is used. Me-Burk-Sa fell soon afterwards. So there we stood. We wept for our fallen Elites and Rats. However, the sweet taste of victory soon drowned out all other emotions. We celebrated. We joked. But above all else, we promised their deaths would not be for nothing! Together, we marched forward. Our next destination, the castle out posts of Einar, controlled by Marcus and his Romans...
