In a couple of hours, i will be meeting with my friends for a big heroscape competition. This is our first group meeting and we are going to use 400-500 point armies. I will post pictures of the map later. But long story short, the map is split in half by a bridge. The bridge is about 15 spaces across and 2 spaces wide. A large ramp leads up to it on both sides. the bridge is elevated at about 12-13 spaces high. Both sides have a strong hold. One side has a small castle (no gate) with ladders on the outside. it is surrounded by runis. the other team gets land filled with hills, trees and a small base. It only has one defense. A 2 wall high tower. The tower holds two units. Special rules include the following:

Up in the clouds: Enemies off the bridge must be within 4 spaces of the bridge to be targeted by ranged attacks from units on the bridge.

Acid Water: movement onto water spaces automatically yeilds one wound per space moved over.

The objective? A flag is located on the bridge. Both sides are attempting to take the flag, and deliver it to the enemy's base. The first side to do so wins.

Sadly, i don't have the duplicates of any expansion sets (except 3 rtff). I don't have any wave 6. I need an army that can both fight and hold the bridge, but also be able to assault a castle.

Thx for your help.

Well without any doubles I can't see taking many commons to the game...
how about this:

Saylind - 80
Izumia - 60

This will be your Bridge holding team. Saylind can flap out there pretty quickly and then start summoning up the samurai. They can hold the bridge pretty well with 5d.

Drake - 110
AE - 110
DW8K - 130

Once saylind has secured the bridge with a few Izumia's she can start summoning over Drake and DW8K. They are both pretty stellar for attacking a castle as drake can just grapple hook his way up to the wall walks, and DW can stay a smooth 7 away from the door and just blast away with rapid fire. The leet bring a little extra range and the chance to take the castle quickly if your opponent doesn’t watch his positioning.
