Hoping I can attend, but I'll need more details. I only plan to go for the one day of the event, not the entire Con.

as I said above, ye can go ahead and get tickets for on on dragoncon's site, in the gaming section..do a search and one of searches has a listing on all games/game types..heroscape is among them under miniatures.

if ye try to go directly to the miniatures link on the sidebar ye won't anything but info on dreamblade..

cheers

also if anyone is a for sure for coming please pm me, I had plan on having 10 maps(2 per table) up but I dont think I have quite enough terrain myself, gonna need 3-5 more ms's I think or so(I'm thinking at least 3 more as I have 6 or 7 myself).

I will be there. Along with my nephew and niece. Both fans of the game, and quite skilled as well.

If someone who reads this could pm me with Rodriquez's phone number that would be great. I don't anticipate any problems, but you never know.

I will also be bringing a buttload of terrain to play on. Haven't quite decided but I have the ability to bring 5+ MS, 5 RTFF, 5 VW, 1 TT, and a Castle. Probably won't bring all that, but I should have a good mixing.

Looking forward to meeting some new people, and crushing them underneath the heels of my Aubrien Archers.

Well, I had a great time. My niece and nephew had a lot of fun as well. It was good to meet some other Scapers and play some new people.

Rodriguez put on an excellent event with a lot of players (20 I think). We had some very young players and some new players as well. Bannister's son, Cody, won the whole thing. He was unstoppable. Again I'd like to express my appreciation for Rodriguez. His efforts really need to be recognized. I think everyone had a lot of fun and I look forward to doing it again next year.

I'd like to give my regards to Bannister, who really is a nice guy, Just John, Celtic Ghost, and hopefully a new member of the boards: Roger. Just to note Robert (Or was it Roger? My apologies for the confusion.). He didn't bring an army, but proved that the MS figures are still viable in HeroScape. This demonstrates to me that there has been little if any power creep in HeroScape and simply reinforces my appreciation for the game.

My apologies to everyone else who I failed to mention, but be assured I enjoyed meeting everyone.

Buddy Lee

PS: Pictures to follow as soon as I can download and post them.

ok I'll get notes and everything up in a day or so..
I just got back into town today myself, and I'm about worn out on top of battling some sort of illness(dizziness, etc, mostly).

I'd like to give thanks to everyone who came out to this and played and to all the new players I met while there.

Also ahuge Thanx to Buddy Lee, Bannister, Justjohn, and celticghost(is that right) for the help in setting up and breaking down and getting new ppl started.

unfortunately I don't have pics(somehow my cam ended up in my wife's friends bag who came down with me.....argh!!!!! so if anyone managed to get any pics lemme know as I have verra few.)

on other note anyone on the boards who came can ye pm me and let me know exactly who ye were there..name/nick, etc...as I stated while there I'm horrible with putting names to faces for the most part.

Quick breakdown for all those fans for ours:
we had a "sellout" according to dragoncon ppl(and plz don't ask about the hassle there and everytone go thank Nick the gaming Director for getting it fixed..). Total I think 24-28 ppl actually showed up and played in a game or so...there were 16 ppl to actually stay throughout the whole chaotic tournament and play 4 full rounds.

Congrats to Cody, Bannister's son for his perfect record there!!(well Bannister also had a perfect record.... :) ). and as I remember 2 of the top 4 ppl used pure MS fiqure's for their armies..

cheers
Rod

as I said I'll get a better breakdown of the stuff I remember in a day or so once I get to feeling better.

Wow. This was fun! I really enjoyed meeting everyone and playing some great games of HEROSCAPE.

First off, let me thank Rodriquez. He did a great job organizing and running the tournament. A very nice guy and helpful. He has a nice wife as well, but I didnt get her name. Sorry. Rod deserves recognition as Buddy Lee stated for making a great event like this possible. Thanks!!!

I also want to drop a hello and good meeting to Bannister, his son Cody, Buddy Lee, John and Britt (bak bak ;) ), Kelly, and the others I met that I didnt get their names down.

Also, I had a blast after the tournament in the three-way free for all between myself, Bannister, and Cody. It was so much fun. Dragons Rule!!!

I hope you guys had a great time as well.

Hey guys,

First, thanks Rod for putting this little tournament together. You did a great job dealing with the DragonCon folks and working out the kinks and in running the tournament. My son and I had a blast! It was our first convention and the tournament was the icing on the cake for us.

Everyone we meet was great.

Rod was our tour guide for the first night up until we got seperated as I rescued my son from a diverse crowd of zombies, stormtroopers, umbrella corp., gypsies(?), etc... :D and of course he put on a great tournament.

Celtic Ghost I enjoyed seeing someone use the "flap your arms and cluck like a chicken at your opponent" tactic to such resounding results. The after tournament game was also a really fun time. My son's head is still about 10 sizes too big over winning this thing. He is convinced that his all valiant army is unstoppable! :D

Buddy Lee it was really great meeting you and your niece. That girl is one heck of a player. It is always great to put a face with the name of a strange man you met on the internet. :D I look forward to our future debates so that when I tell you why are wrong, I can actually imagine the look on your face. :D

JustJohn it was great meeting you and your wife. You are a lucky guy having a wife who is so interested in playing HS with you. Seriously, give me a heads up when you guys come to Memphis again and we will get together. Tell your wife I promise not to "Cluck" at her.

To the other guys, Jeff, Robert, etc... it was great to meet you and I hope you make it to the site.

And yes, yes I sucked it up really, really badly. Counting the last several games with my son and this tournament I am now on a 10 game losing streak. I must reapply myself before my Heroscape card gets taken away from me. I have some pics I will try and put up also.

Bannister

PS. Where do we sign up for next year!
