The Sacred Band's card says the following...
Disciplined Army Defense Bonus
If every Army Card you control has a disciplined personality, each soldier in the Sacred Band receives 1 additional defense die.
What does "every Army Card" mean? Does it mean each squad card?

All army cards you draft need to have the 'Disciplined' personality for the SB to get their defense bonus.
Parmenio may change the personality of any UNIQUE card to 'Disciplined', so if you're trying to go the Sacred Band route, you may consider using Parmenio to get this bonus and the Defy Death 15 assist.

It means all the cards you have drafted must have disciplined personality in order for the Band to get this bonus. Note you may also arrive at this through casualties as well.

I wanted to go there, but didn't think I'd have time to type it in a clear explanation.
And I wanted to beat Nether

Well technically it means all the cards you control, not all the cards you drafted. Even though you mentioned the casualties at the end of your statement, I think saying its all cards you drafted could be confusing :)
Say you drafted Raelin but in your overzealous state you forgot to draft Parmenio, they now wouldn't get the bonus.
So you have 2 Sacred Bands, 2 Legos, Marcus and Raelin. As soon as Raelin dies, they would get the bonus.

OR if you've drafted Ne-Gok-Sa and altered his personality from 'Tricky' to 'Disciplined'. Then during the game in your overzealous, lucky, mind-shackling mojo, you take control of a unique card that has a personality other than 'disciplined' you've just screwed your Sacred Band's Disciplined Defense bonus.
A stretch I know, but it could happen.

good point, i've never thought of losing the bonus during the game (or gaining it by casualties for that matter)

The same applies to the 4th Mass and their Valiant defense bonus!

Man, it sounds like having the Sacred Band's Disciplined Army Defense Bonus is a lot of work.
I'm pretty new to the game, so I don't have loads of extra figures (yet). I don't quite have the luxury of having enough "disciplined" figures to make it work.
But I get it now.
How many different "personalities" are there anyway? I mean, there is disciplined, tricky, relentless, wild, valiant, merciful, precise, ferocious... etc... holy cow. The list could go on!
