Two Quickies...
1) Not sure if it's all Kmarts but, my Kmart had heroscape in their clearance aisle. Kmarts prices are already high in my estimation so not great at this point but, MS were $30 and wave packs were $10. That's all they had. Kmarts are few and far between here after they filed for chapter 11 or 10 whichever it was...
2) Walmarts Heroscape clearance got knocked an additional 50% off so now OR and RTTFF are $4.50...WOW!!! I picked up two more RTTFF just because I couldn't pass up the price. They still had several left but only 1 more OR.

Well I guess I'll finally have to go take a look at the local Walmart...I've only shopped at ToysRus so far (my son & I got HS for x-mas.) We don't have RTTFF yet...it's the only land expansion we don't have...

Oy, my parents live in Radford, and I go to college in Newport News. I can never find anything (no good sales or anything still worth buying, for that matter) at either of the Walmarts here or the Walmart in Radford.

Well I went to the two local(est) Walmarts just now & both only had the MS & castle sets...neither of which were on sale...so much for that. I had to get my son a DS for his b-day so I did save a few bucks buying that there...

Yeah, two of the three local walmarts have almost no clearance section to speak of. The one I found with the Heroscape has an aisle of just clearance toys. They have all the non-clearance heroscape in the regular section. I remember reading at some point that at someones walmart they'd moved the fortresses to the clearance section but they weren't actually on sale so we shall see.

The WalMart near us has a separate toy clearance section as well .. which is about as far from the regular toy section as you can get (it's in automotive.) I haven't been in a few weeks, but last time they had RttF for $6.

It seems our WalMarts [in WA] refuse to put HS on clearance. I checked the Walmart in Renton, Lynnwood, Federal Way and Puyallup with zero clearances noted.
Atleast CardHaus is local for us. When they had Orm's on sale for $12 I avoided the exorbitant cost of shipping.

There's a Wallyworld up the street from me that has about 10 or 11 of the RttFF on a clearance shelf. They dropped down to $15 about 4 weeks ago and dropped again down to $11. I'm kinda playing Deal or No Deal w/ them in hoped of getting 3 or 4 for $5 or $6.

Thats how the stickers went $15 to $11 to $9 and now $4.50...Someone down the freeway from me mentioned them at $6 but that seems to have been skipped in this case. it'd be worth asking just in case they've missed a mark down. Not sure if the Walmarts are all independent of each other in this choice.
Also, any one been to a Kmart? I'm curious if others are also on sales...The first one I went to that I am reporting the clearance about had very little stock. I went to where the website says there is another store but, couldn't find it. Doesn't suprise me as some of the locations they have listed I know have been closed for some time...So wondering if it is worth trying other Kmarts to finish my wave 4 set as i've not seen them elsewhere thus far.

I was at the Olympia, WA Kmart late last night for batteries. Of course, checking for HS was not optional. In fact, I went looking for HS first (well, I knew they would have batteries, sheesh). No sales, no sparkly water, wave 6 only. I check Kmart about once a month and never have much luck. My best find was the cowboy pack.

The Marysville one is like that too. What's really strange is that they've had master sets and wave 5/2 packs overflowing the shelf all over the place and still they don't put anything on clearance. It's like 3 times the inventory I've seen anywhere else.

Wow...the Walmart here with an actual clearance aisle has castles but, they aren't on sale. I check just to be sure as I'd love to get a couple more for even better than the $19 I paid for the first two.

That's me down the freeway. :D And I think it's done independently .. they were marked down from $19.95 (per the sticker) directly to $6. Weird. I have to qualify to ... this is the Super Wal-Mart, or whatever they call it, that has the grocery store in it (like midwest Meijers, only not as fun).. the regular Wal-Marts I haven't seen any close-out section. - Joe

I know it's a bit far for you but, if you find it worth it, the Walmart I've found them at is in Brea on Imperial Hwy. They had three left yesterday after I bought two of them and, it doesn't appear anyones been buying them as it's been the same amount every week i've gone. I can check for you if interested again tonight as I am going for a couple more wave packs.

I was up in Anaheim (Disneyland) a week ago and hearing good things about your Walmart, I stopped in to check. Lo and behold, there was a single castle set on sale for $6.50; I didn't really want a castle but at that price I kind of had to buy it.
Back down here in San Diego, I hit the Walmarts, Kmarts, and Targets regularly. So far, the only clearance item I've found was an $11 Orm's Return at the Walmart in Santee.
Here are the SAN DIEGO area stores I've visited in this past week:
San Diego Walmarts:
- Santee -tons of Wave 5 and some MS (including sparkly water ones)
- Murphy Canyon -some Wave 1 & 4 and tons of Wave 5 and a couple of castles ($24.95)
- Clairemont -a couple MS and Castles ($24.95)
(all boosters are $9.96 at all Walmarts)
San Diego Targets:
- Mira Mesa -MS and Raknar's Vision ($19.95) and T.Tundra ($19.95)
San Diego Kmarts:
- Clairemont -tons of Wave 4 ($12.95)

Which Walmart? I know you said it was the only one but, it'd be nice to know which Walmarts are at least doing Clearance. I also wish someone would get Wave 4 in I guess I have to try haunting the K-marts though I'd rather not spend the $12.95 when at target and walmart they'd be $9.95.

KMarts/SearsGrands are the only places I have seen any Wave 4's here. Everyone else is 5's, with a few 2 and 6 here and there. It would appear that no one wants the Shades or Heroes, as they are the only 6's I have seen lately.

Good to know that Series 6 is showing up. I've yet to see them and I do my fair share of driving around looking. As I'm almost caught up to having at least one of everything that's gonna stop as well. I might try the Kmarts for Wave 4 and just go to the very local Target and maybe Walmart for Wave 6 when/if they show up rather than go all over.

I found the cheap castle at the Walmart just across the 5 from Disneyland. It was the only clearance item they had and it was on the regular shelf, unmarked. I didn't know it was clearance until I found a price scanner in the store.

Actually Brea is not too far from where I work ... I'm in Walnut right at the insane point known as the 57/60 split. :?
Don't worry about grabbing me any ... I'm pretty well set for the moment from the $6 ones I got.
And that's the first SoCal Wave 6 I've heard of as well. Just 5 & 2 it seems...

****NEW UPDATE***
I'm getting PM'd for Forest sets, checked today to help those people out and there were none left.
Also, went back to Kmart just in case they had some packs I was missing and, they did...but now they are even cheaper...
Wave packs at Kmart are down to $6 and MS down to $20.
However, not all Kmarts are participating and I don't know how you know which are and which aren't I went to two and only one was on sale. I haven't gone to more because they are quite the distance between them.

OK folks here's how "CLEARENCE" works at Wally-World.
(I worked in the retail world for fourteen years & it's pretty much the same for all big retailers.)
Each Store has the same policy as follows....
Individual Dept. Managers at each WW get a certain amount of "Clearance" pricing each month, based on their previous monthly Dept. total sales income.
A large sales income "Last Month" means a larger amount of dollars for clearence items "This Month".
Essentially what goes to the clearence isle is left up to each individual Dept. Manager at each store.
So, depending on how savy the Toy Dept. Manager at your WW store is toward the individual popularity of all his stock, that's how you are going to see items placed in the Clearence Section.
Oh, there are Corporate issued notices that will drive stock to the clearence isle based on national stock piles at all the stores, but most of the time it's as I described above.
This is why you will see one store put some or a lot of HS stuff into clearence and another store keep everything on the regular shelves.
Hopefully, soon a Corporate notice will come for Wave Five!!!! :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:

Kmart reduced prices yet again and I got the last master set for $8. It had been opened as it bulged a bit but, I checked it out and it was all there. They had wave packs but, I'd already bought those at 60% off so who knows what they would be priced at now as originally master sets were $40 there...Just a heads up. To note once again, not all kmarts are showing a sale for Heroscape, only one of them by me is but, they are few and far between.

Most all places around me are bare and have nothing... but two days ago, I did manage to find a Tillica Jungle set just sitting on the shelf at Wal-Mart... on it's side. I grabbed it up (making our collection three now) and it was only $16 and some change.
First time I've seen any HS stuff anywhere...
