So what's the next Hasbro attended event?

I'm trying to recall where Heroscape product is officially shown during the year. Is it only shown at Toyfair, ComicCon, and Gencon? Are there other shows where Hasbro has a presence and possibly reveals new product? Do they go to Gencon SoCal? Essen? etc?

In other words, when's the next time we'll get some official news and photos short of something actually hitting store shelves or the official site? Anyone have a speculative timeline?

Last year we got our first glimpse of Wave Five figures at Toyfair, our first look at Castle rules and a glimpse of Marvel Heroscape at ComicCon, and our first official look at Flagbearers and Wave Six figures at Gencon (which also marked one of the first chances to purchase Castles and Wave Five, as well as being the distribution point for Sir Hawthorne).

So far this year we've gotten our first photos of Swarm of the Marro and our first look at a Marvelscape card from Toyfair....is ComicCon going to be the next big news or is there some major or minor event before that?

Maybe New York Comic Con - Feb 23-25... Wizards of the Coast is listed as an exhibitor and Heroscape has been in WotC booths before. Marvel's HQ is in NY... Be a nice time to show off Marvelscape...

Hasbro's Germany arm certainly exhibits at Essen. But (i) that's in October, and (ii) I doubt very much whether they would ever reveal "new" HS stuff in Europe, as the release schedule lags a long way behind over here (UK has wave 1 only; Germany has had wave 2 and 2.5, but nothing after).

Good point. Do we have any scapers that are going there? I'd drive up but I'm not free those days....I've ben wanting to go to NY Comic Con for a couple years now.

I think we'll see Marvel Expansions sometime after the Master Set comes out, not before. Just a hunch, but I think we'll see at least a glimpse of new Marvel figures at either the San Diego Comic Con or Gencon.

They may be. I just think it's odd that the company with Marvel's toy contract isn't exhibiting at what may be the year's largest con. Frankly it's disappointing and I believe shows a lacking in their marketing machine. Regardless, I will check out WOTC's booth and gaming area to check on HS. If I see anything I'll post pics Monday or Tuesday, unless someone beats me to the punch.

No, it wasn't. Hasbro had zilch at NYCC. I even talked to WOTC to make sure I hadn't overlooked it.

I'm hoping that the next hit comes from ComicCon, even though that's not until what? June? July? Last year that's where we first saw Marvelscape and got a little peak at Wave Five and scans of the castle rules.

Looks like we're going to get our next big preview by actually seeing the item on a store shelf. How bizarre!
