Found Black Onyx Vipers

My wife and I were shopping for heroscape products when we stumbled across the town of Victorville, CA. We were looking for the much saught after wave 3 Jandar's oath, unfortunately we turned up empty handed, but gazing through the set of master sets we found an old beat up, torn apart master set box with the onyx vipers.

That's awesome .. I had to get my elite onyx vipers through other means, cost about $20 just for them. Worth it to complete my set, I guess. :)

I managed to get 7 master sets with onyx vipers at my local wal-mart for $25 a piece. I had to sell a bunch of heroclix to afford them but I am set now. My kids were pretty happy as I gave them each a set, sold a couple and kept 2 for myself. the sad part is that nobody where we live plays the game so our wal mart has nothing but wave 5. I love finding stuff like this. I once bought 4 battlemasters sets for $5 each at this same wal-mart. Makes my wife crazy that I always have to cruise the toy rows *L*

but the walmart up near me in irving, tx had at least 6 sets over the weekend..dunno how much they were though..

I got my Onyxers in my first Master Set last July. I didn't realize they were all that rare at the time. My Walmart had about 5 of them. They were all gone by the end of the summer though, never to be seen again. It is sad, they are quite a good unit and a little underpriced, in my opinion.

That would probably rely on people having the Elite Onyx Vipers, which I don't think Hasbro would do. Maybe if he enhanced ALL vipers...

I know what you mean about Walmart having just Wave 5. I bought all the boosters for the set and they wont restock till they sell out. Ugh! My wife is the same way. I'm an official die-hard and she doesn't understand it. Oh well, I've gotten my son to be a die-hard as well. He is 6. He loves it as much as me.

I forced my local WM to restock by buying all of the Wave Five they had an returning it at another WM. They at first restocked with more Wave Five, which I bought again and returned. Then finally they restocked with three sets of Wave Six. I had already found one full set at Target, so I just bought all the commons and left the heroes.

I live in the NY Capital District Region (Schenectady), & the supply of HS stuff around here just plain sucks!!!!

There's 3 Wally-World-Stores near me and since before Xmas they've had nothing but the MS and Wave 5 figures.

The local Tar-jay gets a little bit in at a time, but if ya don't get there on delivery day... early..., ya don't get a dang thing! :x

Some guy gets there and snatches up all the sets, (I've seen him do it), I assume to sell on eBay, but that's only a guess.

One of these days I'm gonna trip the SOB & grab some for myself. :lol:
