So what's the buzz on Clout? There was some inside humor a few pod casts ago. Somebody was going to review it, and there was much sarcasm so they went on to review Settlers of Catan as I recall. I have the starter packs for clout, but I've played and won't collect more until I do. Is it becoming a sensation or a flop? Who has an opinion?

I have the Centaur, Elf, Goblin, and Undead starters, plus a bunch of boosters....a HUGE amount of boosters. I should actually look into selling all the extra chips I have. I've got a bunch of prize chips too.

I don't think Clout is that great a game. It's fun for a while and worth playing certainly, but I don't think it has massive staying power. It was good for a freebie (I was on the demo team) but I couldn't imagine paying more than a few bucks for it. It's incredibly overpriced. Unless you can get it on the cheap I advise most folks against purchasing it nowadays.

My local game store treats Clout like a dirty word and mocks it all the time....I think they've barely sold any of it and they certainly never reordered. There's another store near me that ordered small amounts of the Mermaid/Pirate expansions but I don't think they sold well.

I wonder how the game is doing, financially. It seems like it's chugging along....people must be buying them somewhere.

OK I mocked Hero about it on a cast because he LOATHES this game. (But this being said I left him a small "gift" the last time I was at his house)

It's not that bad of a game, but......it is collectible. I have a few base sets and thats it. I got (4) factions last year for demo-ing it @ :gencon: and I bought the pirate set.

No it's no secret but Hidden City Games has pretty much stopped producing it. Marvel Clout has been delayed until July and rumors are flying that Clout might be DOA. HCG has a new CCG aimed at young girls and it has really taken off.

It's not hard to pick up, and you can carry it EASILY in a back pack or carry on while traveling. Of course when I was stuck in Albany last week with Bunjee and her Elstree I was sans Clout.

You might be hard pressed to find it an a game shop right now.

My FLGS has been pushing it for a while. They have a ton of chips for sale, and while a few people the owner has suckered into buying them pick them up, they mostly just collect dust on the rack.

The owner really likes it, but I didn't care for it much at all.

I agree its not a great game, CCG portion of it, but it doesn't totally blow. Besides have a strategy you also have to have some skill when throwing the chips. I mean I have $10 invested and hey it works for me. You'll never find me paying $20-$40 for ONE chip.

I originally bought the starters and some boosters on eBay. We played it a couple of times, the girlfriend didn't like it so I traded it away on BGG. Then we went to GenCon and I got both starters again in some Swag Bags. So they sit on my desk un-opened.
