OK hear this out....

My 6yr old son and myself sat down to play on a 3-player map,(I got it off this site, can't think of who made it. It's the one with the Glyph of Astrid in the middle ontop of a water piece) Other player didnt want to play at the time.

I made the rule of drafting 220 pts,
Only 1 General army each.

My Draft
----------
x1 Marro warriors
x1 Marro drones
x1 Zettian guards
x1 Deathreavers

Son's Draft
----------------
x1 Sgt.Drake Alexander
x1 Airborne Elite

Now all of my troops are huddled basically around my range units... He just has Drake on the board on his side. He rolls for his Elite and gets 13. He proceeds to place his 4 Elite around the board. I think nothing of it. I win Init. and go after his Elite with my "Roborats"....all whiffs! His turn...Here come the grenades.....Took out my Zettians, Drones, and Warriors with the wave. I WAS STUNNED! One turn and my army was beyond decimated. It came down to one on one. Drake vs. Deathreaver...He won the game. I was very impressed. He proceeded to brag to his mother. Thats my boy! So here is a battle I'll never forget. Tell me what you think of it all...

My son did the same to me (writeup forthcoming), dumped a grenade off a wall and wiped the entire squad of Darn Vikings...

Reading reports like this is very difficult for me. I am so very jealous that you guys can play these games with your children. I am 34 now, and I have been a gamer all my life. DnD, Car Wars, Paranoia, Traveller, Marvel Superheroes....And the one person I wanted to play with would have been my father. Friends and friends and they are cool, but there is nothing like a Father/Son relationship.

I think I still have a first level Paladin that I made for my Dad, the one time he said he would play with me (which never happened though). My father is sick now, and he won't be around soon, and the memories I hold so dear are the limited times that Dad and I have played catch, or cards, or some of my made up games. I only wish I had more memories.

To all that play with your families, you are lucky and blessed. I don't even know why I wrote all this, I guess just reading your report started to make me think about life and stuff....

Wow, 90% of the grenades I throw are duds (0 skulls).

The AE are probably the most powerful unit in the game. No matter who you draft. they can be killed in one turn by the AE if played right.

Yeah, trust me I truly respect those guys now more than ever. Ha Ha.
