As some of you may know I love the sadly departed TV Show Arrested Development. It is simply the funniest show I've ever seen hands down. If you ever wondered, my avatar comes from Arrested Development. The picture you see is the actor Tony Hale playing the character Buster Bluth. The narrator (Ron Howard) introduces this quick photobooth sequence by reporting that "Buster had a unfortunate encounter in a photobooth on the wildlife populated island of Catalina." The flashback sequence is shot rather nicely with each frame of the (5-pose) photobooth displayed on the screen with the sound of the photobooth flash in the background. Each shot transitions to the next with a vertical pan off the top of the screen, simulating the actual movement of the paper in the booth. Here's the full sequence:

If you have any interest in seeing what makes me laugh you can watch this show for free here:

They are adding 3 episodes every third week for a year.

This show is absolutely brilliant! I can't recommend it enough. And when the price is free you can't go wrong.

BTW, the photobooth sequence is in Season 1 Episode 15.

Cheers,
Mark

P.S. My signature comes from the Dean of Buster's school. ;)

That is great what msn.com is doing (assuming it's no strings attached viewing, or at most the small string of having to watch an intro advertisement or the like). Also one of my favorite shows, all-time. I cannot get enough of Gob wheeling around on that Segway. I'm chortling right now just thinking about it.

Arrested Development is such a great show. It's cool that MSN is making them available to watch online.

It was also one of the few shows that made great use of guest stars. Charliz Theron's recurring role was my favorite. Mister F.
