I'm trying to remember, but I can't. Did anyone get their prizes from it?

Glasswalker did iirc. Not sure about the prizes but my guess would be yes since no one made a stink about it (no news is good news, imo.) :D

If Syd didn't get his, then no, nobody got theirs. Syd won first with When the Levee Breaks.
Figures. Sorry, Syd. I wish I had something more useful to say.

I'm not upset. Just wondering. Not like anyone could get me the tundra I want anyway at this point =)

Sorry, Syd. That was a while ago and honestly didn't remember who won and this was the first I've heard about the winners not receiving their prizes. :(

Oh geez, believe me, I remember the contest. I still have all the maps printed out at home to try and setup.
GlassWalker proposed the contest and appointed the mods as judges. There were some issues with the scope of the contest. There were 21 entries.
21
I've barely played 21 games of heroscape in the last year, much less been able to play test 21 maps. God, this was one of the things that had me hiding from the boards at HQ. Guilt over not having the judging done. UranusPChicago was the leader on judging these maps over there, he was awesome.
All the posts referring to the end of the contest are missing from HQ, that is why I didn't know it had officially ended. Sorry
The problem now is the prizes that were offered may not be available. <idiot statements here removed by bunjee>
You can download all the map entries here, it is a 16mb zip file that contains pdfs, and one folder of screen shots. (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/files/mapcontestmaps.zip)

I've still to get my contest prizes off to Karkadinn, Ch1can0, Malechi, and the other guy.....Taeblewakler!
I'll do it I'll do it! but it probably won't happen unti after June 16. By that time school will be out and I can spend some time packaging up and doing an early morning trip to the post office.
You can select from one of my prizes if you want Syd. I need to find the list, but I'll be happy to mail something off to you.
Let me know.
(btw, none of the prizes were official Heroscape stuff)

Yeah, it was a custom glyph contest on HSHQ. Shortly after its completion, we haad the Herscapers inception and the demise of HSHQ, so no trace of it remains. I have the entries still posted on Photobucket, but no records of votes per contestant.
Anyone have that info?

That contest was a clusterf!&k. I'm not surprised the prizes offered weren't honored. Hell the thing wasn't even judged as advertised.

Thanks for speaking up, hex-bunchanumbers. Why don't you run the next one, and show us all how it's done?

I don't have a website I'm trying to drive traffic to.

You putting the whole contest on your back was commendable and frankly an unbelievalbe accomplishment. I tried to play a lot of the maps published, so I have an inkling of the effort you put forth.
I was referring to the fact there were supposed to be multiple judges and IIRC, 4 or 5 categories the maps were supposed to be judged against on a scale of 1-5 or 1-10 so a score could be given to each map.
I apologize if you took that comment personally. It was not aimed at you.

No worries. I honestly didn't take it personally, I was just feeling the need to post something on this thread since I did try to salvage the whole contest. I felt terrible that the whole thing was so FUBAR.

If Glasswalker had consulted us before he made up the rules of the contest, we could have made it work better. As it was he just announced it and then told us we were to build, play, and judge all these maps. I personally can't stand building maps and was reprehensive from the start. I would rather play on a map somebody else built anyday. There is no way I could have judged this thing.
