I was thinking about a comment made here a few weeks ago, that the fact that there can be more than one common squad is factored into the cost of the squad. Now, I know that there is a small section of Heroscapers that do not have the funds to buy more than one of every set. What might be a rule of thumb, a percentage maybe, that you could reduce the cost of common squads to make them unique?

That might work. I don't see why they would be reduced in points, but whatever.

Like I said, the fact that any qiven squad is common jacks up their price, by however small a margin. If, say, the 4th Massachucets Line were unique, they would cost less, because you could only have one squad at any time. They might be, say, 60 points instead of 70. I mgiht make a list of common squads, and changes needed to make them unique.

Howdy,

In my "Lightning HeroScape" i remove bonding and give a 10pt reduction.

For something like this I would probably say somewhere between 10 and 20 points, considering with the example given, 4th mas are about the same in power as marro warriors and they only cost 50pts.

I would lean towards 10 for those already costing 50 or less points though as it would be a little too much muscle for such little cost.

Thanks for your advice, eiphiecoyle. I think ten or twenty points is good for most mid-price suqads. For 100+, though, I'd say maybe 30 or 40.
