Ok so I play Heroscape a lot but I was wondering if there are any suggestions for other board games that arent nessicarily multiple purchases... I will play Heroscape forever but you need another fix maybe when your friends dont want to play, or you just want to play a different game.
Any suggestions?

Thanks Nether... I should have known you be the first to respond with something like that...
I wanted people to tell me their fav games here so they are all in one thread not spread out. Makes sence in my mind...

It would make sense if people actually did it. They were already all in one thread, and then someone decides to ask again, and again and again. So by trying to get everything in one thread you are actually spreading things out more. :P

If you look at the thread titled best board games ever, then I think you will get what Nether is saying, that is a pretty tight list.

If you frequent Yahoo Answers you'll see that EVERY OTHER DAY someone asks What's Your Favorite Board Game? It's sickening that 95% of the responders say Monopoly.

I'll make some suggestions but first, put Monotony down and back away from RISK. I'll wait.

Now a good place to start is BoardGameGeek (http://www.boardgamegeek.com), they cover every thing even if a lot of posters are militant on the Euro style board games.
Heres some suggestions covering a multitude styles and genre that are currently available

Autoscooter
Carcassonne
Through The Desert
Guillotine
Lost Cites
Domaine
Cathedral
Mississippi Queen
Hive
Power Grid
Tikal
Tichu
War of the Ring
and of course the guys will; be all over me if I don't mention
Battlelore
Dreaded Gazebo

BoardGameGeek rankings (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype=game&sortby=rank)
Take a look through the top 100 or 200. If anything catches your eye, click on it and start reading reviews and comments from other users, look at the pictures, etc. Odds are you'll find something that looks interesting.

I own Tikal but have never played it. It looks real complicated.

Risk, Axis and Allies, and Atmosphere is about the only other board games I play besides Heroscape, with the occasional Simpsons Game of Life or Monopoly once in a great while. Well, there is another game, but it's a drinking game my buddy made called, The Game of Drunk. It's a board game where you use a bottle cap as a token, you roll 2 6-sided dice, go around the board, and each spot has a different option. The spots are basicly a collection of EVERY drinking game ever made....3-Man, Up the Rive-Down the River, Quarters, Beer Pong, ect... I hardly play this though, as I am not as much of a drinker as I once was.

Ah, but you should. It's a great game and it just takes a few turns until you get the mechanism. It will take more than one game though to come up with the possible different tactics...
Yeah, I love Tikal :D
