$5 Castle sets in Colorado

Just picked up five castle sets for $5 each. I got all they had out as well as a RRTFF and an Orm's Return at $3 each.

For any of the Scapers in the Denver Metro area, check out the Wal-Mart at I-70 and Quebec. They still had a few Orm's Return for $3.

It is also the only place I know that has Series 3 right now, except no Heroes sets.

So it was a good day for me. Not sure what I am going to do with all the Castles right now, but I couldn't pass up such a deal.

Anyone interested in trading a Sir Hawthorne to me for a castle set?

Sad to say these things never happen in Tucson...
Local WM are loaded with wave 5 and all one store could do is mark down a smashed orm's to $13.

Our WM has 4 MS and 7 packages of Nikitas and that's IT. No HS in the clearance aisles and the employees say that that's all they got. At least they haven't taken the Marvelscape stickers off the shelf yet so I can stand there and sigh for a minute or two.

I had two before hand, and so now I have a set up with four of them dominating my dinning room table. Not sure if I would ever have the room to use the other three, so they are still unopened. Four is enough to drive my wife crazy and have one really impressive castle set-up.

I wouldn't want to play a mega castle with standard rules. No way. It would take forever. You could certainly use one with the Quests of Heroscape format though.

I have no idea if what I built is playable yet. My son and I will mess around with it this evening, but with him it is hard to tell if the set-up really is playable. It is big though. If I had another couple of master sets I might be able to create a better landscape to go with it.

Since most the CO people are here posting about finds I have to ask if ANYONE in CO has found ANY part of wave 6 ANYWHERE. I've looked all over the metro area, checked C Springs yesterday and all I find is Wave 5 and empty shelves. IS WAVE 6 EVER COMING TO CO???!!!!

I've not seen wave 6 anywhere myself.

They are opening a new Wal-Mart here on Wadsworth and 4th tomorrow. I'm figuring that might be a good place to try, since they should have brand new stock in. Of course now that I've said that all the Scapers are going to get there before I get a chance and buy them out.

Just picked up a 5$ castle set here in Jackson MS.

Everybody be sure and take the sets to the little scanners around the store to find out the price. There were no tags, clearance indicators or anything on the sets and they were in there usual place on the boardgame isle.

Imigine my suprise when the castle came back as only 5 bucks!!!

Oh and the only expansion pack they had was a Jandar's Gorillas and Hounds :) so I got that too!!

No luck with picking up any extras. There was only one case on the shelf. So I now have collection 6.

Has anyone else seen Castle sets on clearance? I've been to about 20 WM's over the past few weeks and most don't have any much less any on clearance.

I remember seeing them for $20 somewhere instead of $25 but don't remember where. Someone had said a few weeks back that they found the castles for $13.88 on clearance which got me looking, but I've had no luck. Only dragon packs for $10.00 and bridge sets for $10.00 on clearance. I'll find the occasional WM black viper set for $30.00 but that is rare.

I was just over at the SW Plaza Mall in Littleton. There is a store there called "It's your move". They had 3 of the wave 6 sets. All but the heroes set. They wanted $14.95 per set though. I haven't seen any anywhere else at all!

There's an "It's Your Move" up north here in Fort Collins also, and they've had wave six for about a month now. I haven't succumbed to the $15 price tag yet though :) Actually, the last time I was there they had sold out of wave six, but were expecting more last week.

Also, welcome aboard, JenLiss30. I don't know if you've come across the CO Scapers' Thread (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?p=182215#197690) yet, but we're trying to schedule another game day at Valhalla's (in Wheat Ridge) in February.
