Most of them are the letter abbreviations, such as KMA, TVW, Syv, Tae, Rae, et cetera.

I call the TVW that holds the spear "Gay little spear-man" cuz he's my least favorite. Wehn working on a custom, i chopped his arm off and switched it w/ finn, so finn has the spear and he has the sword, so now i call him "not-so-gay little spear man"

I also have nicknames for Agent carr and one of the guys from KMA, but they are a bit racist, so i'll avoid posting them...

Yea and after playing Mimring in the first round of the Austin Tourney I should have called him " Sparky " since that is all he seamed to be able to cough up - sparks ( no flames ). However by the third and fourth rounds I could use DJ Ducki nickname for Mimring as he was an "Ass Master" then as he had flames coming out everywhere. When you roll three or four skulls on his special attack you feel great. When you only roll one or none he instantly seems like a waste of 150 points.

Wow, how have I missed this thread for so long?

Our nicks fall into a couple categories:

1) Names we stole from you guys (Chompy, Mittens, Sgt. Rock). Also, I'm starting to lean towards calling Q9 Quiggley.

2) Overly descriptive names just because we're too lazy to remember the real ones: lava dudes, red/green/white/black/bone dragon, red/purple samurai, the vikings, the monks, the werewolves, the minute men, the paratroopers, the snipers, the elf, the wizard (yes, I know technically he's an elf too, but he's the wizard, and we don't have the AA), the demons, the angels, 7k/8k/9k, the fire-centaur-thingie, the blacksnakes.

3) What we think they're supposed to represent:
KMA = the MIBs a.k.a. Agent J, Agent K, and Agent L
MacDirk = Braveheart
Dendrick = Lancelot
Theracus = the hippogriff
James Murphy = that Indiana-Jones-lookin-MFer (a.k.a. "Indy")
Dumutef = the wendigo (yes I know most people think they're supposed to be bridge trolls, but they just look like wendigo to me)

4) Other:
Tornak = Dino Boy (since Grimnak is Chompy)
Kelda = the healie chick
Saylind = the spear chick
Khosumet = wolflord

Shotgun Sullivan used to be just "the cowboy", but then we got Deadeye/Guilty/Murphy so ATM he's just "the shotgun dude" until something better comes along. I'm seriously considering calling Deadeye "Clint" because he reminds me of Clint Eastwood in, say, The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly (or similar). Carr never had a nick with us, but I'm seriously considering calling him Morpheus now (dunno why that never occurred to me, except that he looks more like a Geordi).

During a game in which my friend's gf was drunk, she called Theracus "Thesaurus"! We almost fell out of our chairs and the name has stuck ever since.

(P.S. To add to the humor of it all, The few times she's played she always picks Theracus. Any time she honestly tries to say Theracus, she ends up saying Thesaurus instead. She has to really focus to say Theracus. Weeks after the last time she had played she was writing something and couldn't think of a word she needed. You guessed it! Without even realizing it she got frustrated and said, " OK, I'm gonna have to look in the Theracus. It took a while for us to stop laughing enough to tell her why we were laughing. LOL :lol: )

Some of my other expansions are so new we haven't had a chance to play with them and let their names come naturally in the heat of battle.
