View Full Version : Using Heroquest figures in Heroscape

Has anyone got some stat cards they may have created for using heroquest figures in heroscape? I could put my own together, but if someone has already made them and play tested them, it would be a whole lot easier.

thanks

Welcome to the site!

I think I've seen a few, but you should paint your figs and make some cards out of them. I miss HeroQuest.

I remember seeing some on the old HQ site, but I have not seen them here. I am not even sure who the original creator was.

Welcome to the boards, BattleTweety!

On behalf of our highly customized and primarily sane community I extend to you a laurel and a hearty handshake.

Perhaps a better data-miner than I will come along to help out, but I couldn't find what you are looking for anywhere on the site. Sorry

Thanks for all the responses and the welcome. I painted the heroquest guys a long time ago. First thing I did when I got the set. I've already found a couple of things in the downloads section for skeletons and zombies but would really love to have something for the gargoyle and the hero's. if I get around to making somthing up, I'll be sure to post it.

thanks

I realize this post is ancient history but I had the same question as I've got a painted HQ game and was looking to roll all those sweet figs into HS... If there's any interest or consensus on stat adaptation (movement, in particular), I can make some cards up for people...

I did manage to find someone on the HQ side of things who made a pretty thorough attempt at merging the two systems. http://oldscratch.smackwell.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1194240479/0. I found much of his thinking overconvoluted, but he did have some interesting suggestions about stat adaptation and ideas for potential powers that go beyond the super basic ones on the HQ character cards. He had more of an RPG/HQ slant on things so some of the powers had to be earned by buying up to them as a means of simulating XP. As for his token system, I don't get the point of it.

Has anyone else tackled HS custom cards for HQ already?
The only one I've found here was this Chaos Sorcerer.

a picture's worth a thousand words. Here's some inspiration for anyone else who owns a copy of HeroQuest...

We've played some good capture the flag (chest) games with these dudes - having each squad equal 1 "pick" has resulted in some seemingly well-weighted matches, though further fine-tuning to define prices seems necessary as obviously 3 fimirs is not equivalent to 4 skele's. The goblins have a base move of 10 in HeroQuest which makes them particularly fun in CTF matches.

I've still got my HeroQuest game, and I'm intending to get them painted (I've never painted figures, but got friends who can give me a hand) and use them with Heroscape. I think I would just be making up my own stats and abilities based on how they look. I might loosely base it on info from Heroquest (I don't really remember what all their stats are anyway as I haven't played in many years) but I'd rather make sure they meld well with all my existing figures.
