It asks what are you most looking forward to in '07. I voted terrain and may be the first person to vote, as the results were 100% for terrain.

I'm amazed at what the terrain experts we've had over three sites can do with the pieces. The constructible terrain is what makes HS such an amazing game.

But I went with Figures too. I just get a kick out of seeing what's next in the line-up: the various races, characters, and the time-displaced.
They're pre-painted (and very well if Wave 6 is any indication for 2007's selection) and durable as heck. Silverstoner dropped a HeroClix Juggernaut I had and it shattered into 5 pieces.
Not so with Heroscape figures.

I'm amazed by the terrain votes. The only additions I can even really imagine would be Swamp and Graveyards and I can't picture them making more than a marginal improvement/difference to gameplay

I voted for terrain because i am hoping they make it so you can just buy terrain without having to keep buying master sets...there are only so many variations to the MS figures you can make LOL

You're not imagining enough! Mountain sections, swamps, new trees, brush/shrubs, houses (medieval), buildings (modern), fences, mud, large snow pieces, large sand pieces, carniverous fauna, large boulders, bunkers, crypts, gravestones, tree houses, marro hives, castle add-ons, etc.

Excuse me, I have to go towel myself off.

eh. i suppose some more terrain could be cool. but i have so much and i don't use everything when i play. i'd rather have more figures, or let's say that i look forward to new figures more. perhaps if the new terrain had another common hero i'd be cool with it. like for swamps have some kind of swamp monster for ullar, that'd be fun, i could dig that. i voted figures on the main site.

i'm trying to think what figures i look forward to now? maybe they shall finally make cavalry, rogue knights, pirates, minotaurs, elephants, so much more to look forward to hopefully! i love this game!

Thats really what I am looking for too... Most of the reason why I spent $100 to paint and flock everything for a more realistic feel.

and new major species of units, like vampires.

I've come to enjoy the terrain, despite the length of time it takes. I just got my first castle set and spent the week making and playing casltes: castles over rivers, castles surrounded by lava, double walled castles, casltes with towers . . . It has been a blast. Adding a new terrain will always redefines the game for me. I'm hoping for stairways (that allow faster elevation) and more ruins (symmetrical). There are so many possibilities.

Despite all of this, I voted for figs, because it is an additiction (I don't have wave 6 yet, but I'm already looking for new figs!).

Terrain here. Swamp terrain with withered trees and slower movement. Cemeteries with grave markers. Boulders, deciduous trees, reversed 24-hex pieces, different shaped pieces (like 3 or 4 by 1).

:?: Not terrain that matches the style of the official terrain. Finding figures to stand in is easy with all of the other games to draw from.

Terrain all the way. There are already loads of figures that I've owned for a year or more that I never even play with. New terrain is always guaranteed to get play in every game for awhile, new figures....not so much.

Some people use the terrain for other games, so the more generic terrain that gets created, the better. Terrain like mountains, swamps, urban, etc is useful, so if they get more of that done, they'll make money from people that don't even play the game.

I don't care much about the Marvelscape figures, but the terrain (especially the break apart building) is what has my interest.

i say new figures are guaranteed more play. i love new terrain don't get me wrong, but i always look forward to more figures. i usually play really quick games so the map is usually pretty generic. i don't devote too much time to scenerios and the "feel" of the surroundings when i play, i just play. so the figures are more important in my book. but new terrain with a new figure that comes with the terrain? i'm all for it!

I'd like to see a huge set where you get an expansion with 5 awesome figures and some sick terrain. Sort of a combo of something like TT and RV but in the same box and without the three unit figures.

*Drool... 5 heroes + 60 hex tiles.

I voted for online tips, just on this basis: It's a given that we're going to get at least some terrain and plenty of figures, but who knows whether they'll actually make with any strategy tips or not.

Put another way, they're not going to spend millions on changing their production lineup based on an online poll. But they might throw a couple dozen man-hours into updating the site on that basis.
