View Full Version : Does mindshackling an enemy NeGokSa make them both common?

Now that you have two of the same unique hero via mindshackle,
can a single order marker activate either?

Or,

must you keep track of which is which (e.g. an order marker on your original NeGokSa---the one that did the shackling---only activates that NeGokSa. If you'd like to activate the shackled NeGokSa, then an order marker must be placed on that card)?

I think the answer is the former; can anyone back this up? (BTW, this question applies anytime you mindshackle and get two of the same unique hero in your army.)

Thanks!

I'm not the final word on this but from my understanding, no you can't. Each NGS has its own wound markers and as such you can't just decide which card represents which NGS.

A unique is a unique so you have to identify which figure goes to which card.

ye would have to keep them seperate...
esp since the mindshackle doesna state that the fiqure ye just shackled b/cs part of Ne' turn...
so in that respect ye would have to keep 2 cards, with the respective wounds markers for each Ne'g ye now control..

The best way to alleviate the problem is only allow one Unique per GAME instead of Army. Problem solved and its a much cooler way to play. 2 NGS's fighting each other is lame. :)

To go with what everyone else said, if you are playing this way you would have to keep track of which is which.

I still like to allow the multi Uniques per game. but yes as the guys stated, you must keep track of each figure and its wounds. if nothing else, put a rubberband on one like a necklace to mark one.

I don't know I sort of like the idea of two Ne-Gok-Sa on the table. I can imagine them fighting like 2 year olds with a toy.

Its mine! No mine! Mine! No Mine! Mine! Mine! Moooooooom!

To each his own, I guess.

To me that doesn't me they are unique anymore if there are 2. Unique means 1 and only 1.

plus it makes drafting more complicated.
(in a really good way)

On the topic of NGS:

I take it that, if you mindshackle a wounded unit, then the wounds stay put?

Yes. Consider squads - if you mindshackle the Tarn Vikings after killing two of them, the two dead one's don't reappear on the board. Wounds to a hero are no different - they remain as they were pre-mindshackle.

I agree....restricting the game to one of each unique and one of each unique only makes for a far more strategic draft.

I guess I should use emoticons more often. My two NGS reference was a joke! Can't you imagine two NGS fighting over some poor Marro Warrior's mind. It was meant to be funny...not to evoke serious thought. :P

when there are multiple uniques on the board....it IS the war across the time after all hehe. but of course no more then 1 unique per army

I think that with so many characters available now it is more-or-less unnecessary to use more than 1 unique per battle. I think it's more fun to have armies that are even in points, yet not the same.
