Gladiators actually win a battle!!

Today I played another game againsts my brother at the Marr Highway. Feeling gutsy, I chose all three Gladiators for my 400 point army. My brother drafted DW9K, Zetians, Runa, and the robo rats. To start the battle, my brother moved his robo rats and Runa up the road. My Inspired Gladiators moved out and destroyed all of them. Runa got unlucky and couldn't kill anyone. She was gone in two turns. Retarius charged at the zetians, netting both of them killing them easily. Deathwalker 9K killed Spartacus, but couldn't stand up to the might of Crixus.

I'm not trying to down your victory, but it sounds to me like your opponent's units weren't used as strategically as they could have been. That, and his rolls must have been REALLY bad. Heh... ;)

That's a great report! I love the gladiators, but always fear running into Braxas, Nilfheim or the 4th Mass - all popular drafts and all capable of neutering the gladiators.

I like the gladiators on a map with lots of roads. Of course I'd be paranoid of range and Aldin's picks.

i like the gladiators a lot. i use Crixus and Sparticus quite a bit.

Once on my dad's 2nd game I used the gladiators agianst Su-Bak-na, charos, and chompy.

All my dad did to me was 3 wounds on sparticus. :D

ahhh... the power of the gladiators, i loved all of them except spartucus.
