I did and I loved it! Even though it started out a bit cheesy and cliched like an 80 B movie, I thought it was great.
Too bad a Heroscape couldn't be an Object.... like holding Finn will cause all music to play 3 octaves higher. Or Mimrings wing can cut through Steel.... Something like that
Can't wait to see the rest!!!!

I have actually been curious about this show, but missed it and would be interested to hear any opinions about it.
I know its a mini series, not a full season show, right? How many episodes is it?
Also, I know it has Nate from Six Feet Under. I used to love that show. And still catch a few episodes here an there on Bravo.
Moved to Other Media.

OK just found the post...
It should be a six hour miniseries....3 two hour parts.
It really held me for the first episode, very much looking forward to seeing the rest.
Any idea what the Prime Object is?

A Travel Clock, at least according to Episode 1.
Yes, I'm oddly caught up in this... not wuite sure why yet, though.

Nah, it's not the clock. I know that is what they said, but it didn't do what they thought it would do. Either that or the Weasel was wrong with his info.

I saw the advertisement some time back... it looked decent. But the toght of an object doing things would be cool. I would want something to stop time so I could visit the girls locker room! :) ;)

LOVED IT!
Though I am a little worried about the fact that we've seen at least 12 items so far and it appears that there are only like 30, :?

Nope, they said that there were at least 100, with some specualtion that could 300.
I can't really come up with 100 items that are in a motel room...but if the Bible is an Object then Ima running!

*No spoilers, read on without anxiety, nether ;) *
I wasn't going to watch it, but my wife is a Sci-Fi channel fanatic, so though I missed the first night I caught up last night and saw the "conclusion" (which I hope isn't the conclusion...or maybe I do...) tonight.
Very engaging while watching, but then it has to end. Maybe I missed something while changing diapers and fetching waters, but the ending seemed very rushed and not very satisfying. Still lots of loose ends and questions, which I don't mind at all - actually much prefer to definitive conclusions that don't make much sense or, worse, contradict what one has been watching for the majority of the show - so for that I hope the show goes on. If it's going to draw out until the creativity runs dry and ends that way, then now is as good a time as any to pull the plug.
I enjoyed it, and would read any discussion about what was happening in the hopes of uncovering something deeper in the plot points than I got out of it.
For those interested, the whole miniseries is replaying Sunday, beginning at 5 EST.

what? whats the story please tell.
the lost room (http://www.scifi.com/lostroom/)
In the 1960s, there still were hundreds of motels with thousands of rooms along Route 66 as it twisted its way from Chicago to L.A. and back. None of them stood out from the rest until one day when some unknown event at the Sunshine Motel transformed ordinary things into items of wonder.
Room 10 of the Sunshine Motel and many of its mundane contents — a pair of scissors, a comb and so on — gained unique and inexplicable properties on that day, transforming them from ordinary objects into indestructible Objects.
The Scissors can turn and rotate any item in three dimensions. The Comb stops time for 10 seconds when you run it through your hair. The Eyeglasses inhibit all combustion in a 20-foot radius. The Room itself is an unchanging haven and a portal to any destination. But it can also take that which you value more than your own life.
To possess an Object is to possess its power.
Using each Object exacts a physical, emotional or p_s_ychological cost from the owner. Just holding one makes you a target for murder.
For decades, maybe since the first moment that the Motel Room was ripped from this reality, cabals have formed to collect all the Objects. As always, some just want unlimited power, and they believe getting all of the Objects will give them that. Others want to prevent anyone from ever again using the Objects.
And though their motives vary, the cabals' tactics are similar. It's said that while you have one of the Objects, you have no friends, only people waiting for an opening.
Police Det. Joe Miller was introduced to the Motel Room when a fatally shot young man gave him one of the most powerful and coveted Objects of them all: the Key to the Motel Room. His life is immediately turned upside down when his young daughter becomes lost in the room. In his relentless quest to rescue his little girl, Joe becomes the target of shadowy figures who will stop at nothing to take from him his only hope of saving her — the Key.

Is it worth it to spend 4.5 hours (w/no commercials) watching it?

I vote yea. Willing suspension of disbelief is required, but fun to watch.

I enjoyed it very much. So I would definitely say yes.
It had nice character development although many are left rather two-dimensional. I am hoping on purpose for the series - no I haven't heard anything, but it was pretty obvious wasn't it? If Sci-Fi is doing Painkiller Jane as a series, why wouldn't they do this one?
Some nice mystery as to what the heck is going on. Although answered by the finale, it was left rather open ended. Going so far as to not even require many of the stars back for the series.
The only problem I saw was the definitive lack of sexy chicks, but that may just be me in that concern department...

Every sci fi movie has chicks in it. Their ethir:
A) taking off their shirts
B) getting eaten by some dinosuar or monster while their taking off their shirts
C) get killed and come back with no shirt on at all
That about somes it up for minor chicks in Sci fi movies. Plus you can always tell if Sci fi made it or not ;)

After watching this, I'd have to say the item I would most like to have is the watch, I like eggs,
@ Nether, Yeah it is worth the watch and I will also say that the finale seems a bit odd to me, but still a good show, ;)

Definately worth watching it! Even though the ending was alittle "less then stellar"....the whole series was great. Really kept me on the edge, and alot of Holy Cow moments.
Especially since most guys like gadgets, it will very much intrigue you.
More discussion coming after people catch up on Sunday...hopefully!

I have only watched the first part so far. I plan on watching the other 2 tonight. So far it is interesting and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
I had planned on watching all 3 parts yesterday but after we watched the first one we realized the Survivor Finale was on and had to watch that.

Survivor finale was a bit boring, as usual, but I am glad that they didn't stretch it out as much as some years. Man I hate that part where they walk past all the torches of the losing players. That's always the time to go get a beer, use the bathroom, maybe check the e-mail....it's so boring. They lost, they're gone, forget about them and get the show moving along.
I liked that Yul won, but could easily have seen it go to Ozzie. I can't recall ever being split on who should win. Usually I really dislike one of the two but this year I liked them both equally.
The decision to not flush out the idol when Adam left was really really dumb. That game could have been stirred up a lot.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
It used to be that the SciFi fans were considered the geeks and freaks ... Now, it is only the Reality-Show Fan-boys that are the uber-nerds!
