Nifty Neato! Wave 1!

I was at TRU today and they just stocked all four packs of Wave 1. I picked up the Snipers and Vipers. This is of note because it is the first time I have ever seen Wave 1 in a brick and mortar store (all my wave 1 purchases have been online).

Ah yes, the exhileration of seeing Wave 1 in a store for the first time. I still remember my first time... seeing a full set laying amidst the chaos of Wal-Marts over-flow shelves just after the Christmas of 2004. I don't think I've ever stooped down that fast to snatch something up! And then I placed the set in the child seat of my cart, staring longingly at my prize for the rest of the time my wife and I were in Wal-Mart that evening. Sure, she was happy for me at the time... but she didn't truly understand then the addiction that was just starting to be fed with that purchase of MP...

..... hehehehehehehe..... Yeah, I'm trying to remember that first time myself. It seemed so long ago now....... Ahhhh yes. Now I remember. That's when my heart stopped when I instantly recognized the Romans. Man that was was awesome! Somehow, I don't think that will ever happen again within the Heroscape Realm. :headshake: It's now replaced by the mailman.....

Hopefully, those days will be back before too long......

man when i first saw wave one i bought one pack went back a week later picked up another pack and so on. now i have to snatch em up like some crack head in a crackcocane give away. i hate it $10 is now = to $40.

Actually I've only been playing since October.
Since then I have managed to acquire:

1 Master Set
1 EOV Master Set
2 Lava
2 RttFF
1 Heros of Laur
1 of each booster
1 extra of Orcs, Snipers & Vipers, Minions and Drones
1 Nerak

Plus the use of many of my other friends large collections, all of who found out about heroscape through me.

I remember when I first saw wave 1. I was actually going to order the complete set online from Hasbro but they were out of stock, so I had to wait. I went to Wal-Mart to pick up another RTTFF set and I seen a stock-boy (guess thats what you would call him) empting boxes and I grabbed the wave1 as soon as he laid it on the shelf. Bought the whole set right there and 2 days later Hasbro had Wave 1 figures. Irony...

hehehehe..... I thought you guys were around a bit longer. I have you beat by a year! Chameleon and I joined the old .net back in October 2004. I know GB, Malechi (I believe) and several others have me beat by a fair number of months....

I had seen it on the shelves since 2004, but since I play so many other miniature games (Heroclix, D&D, etc.) I didnt want to spend the money on it.

THEN...my local Wal-mart had three MS that went on clearance for $9.00 ea. I bought all three.

One month later and the addiction has been overwhelming.
Since I can only find Wave 1 stuff in all the Wal-marts, Targets, and TRUs within a 100 mi radius, I have had to feed my desire with buying:

4 of each Wave 1 Booster except the Heroes (2 of them)
2 Orms Return
4 RTTFF
4 Volcarren Wastes
1 of each Wave 4 booster

Thats all I can find, and I have purchased every thing within 5 wal-marts, 4 targets, and 3 TRU's in my region of eastern NC.

Too sad..

I saw a full set of Wave 1 at a Walmart a couple days ago. I bought it. $9.40 for the packs is pretty cheap. Now I just need the rest of the waves.

Just saw a full set of Wave 2 at a Wallyworld while picking up some ketchup and a few movies. Yeah, that's my excuse to head to WalMart...ketchup and some movies. :D

When I left the full set was missing the hero pack.... *GASP*. Somehow it had magically jumped into my stack of stuff to buy while I was heading to the check out.

The tru here finally got wave one in too but of corse im completely broke so i did the only thing I could do. I hid them in back of the rest of the stock and i will hope they are there come payday. Ive been looking for those guys since I started playing, but with no luck. I had decided I was just order them direct from hasbro because they seem to be in stock finally, but now maybe I wont have to.

Well didn't want to start a new thread, so I just found whichever one was about wave 1.
There is a whole shizz nizzle load of wave one at my local walmart.
They got like 5 full sets. I was like where the hell did these come from. First, your shelves are empty for months, now you bring em out.
But, I'll wait for payday before I grab them orcs, romans, and vipers. =) I know they'll last for one more week. I hope.
Oh, by the way, it's the Mililani walmart, for those here in Hawaii.
