The * in the location field...

I was wondering. Why do all non US locations have a * in them.
Mine did not.. I felt left out, so I added one.

I'd be really amazed if it was just coicidence/people doing it themselves... because it is pretty unanimous.

We had a thread going concerning the formating of location so that others from your area could be quickly found. The * was because locations were being filed by state. It was a way to weed out foreign locations when searching for a state.
