Durgeth Swamp with Castles!

I played my friends' 11-year-old on the Durgeth Swamp map. We replaced the elevations on the "winged" side of the map with ice and glaciers. The two "wings" received a castle each, one ice and one free of special terrain (but with a higher tower in the castle). He used Acolarh, I used Sir Gilbert, with mostly themed armies to flesh out. I won, but my Omnicron Snipers had a heck of a time taking out his Aubriens, thanks to Acolarh's power. That kid rolled three Ullar symbols more times than I care to remember!
Early on, my Nilfheim took out his entire squad of Venoc Vipers on round 1, turn 1. After a while, his Aubriens whittled down my MacDirk Warriors (who were next to useless) and my Dzu-Teh (who helped weaken his units and slowed down the Aubriens by rolling high defense).
Eventually I had only three Snipers left, who had to break down the castle door at elevation. The one MacDirk Warrior basically did nothing. He had only Acolarh, who eventually fell to the Snipers' assault.
The flagbearers really add something to the game! They are essentially mobile glyphs you can buy, and the count as units too.

Why do people always do this when a battle report without pics is posted. just because you don't want to use your imagunation to see the field and the battle, doesn't meen that the thread is worthless. OK rant over...

I am currently trying to understand why my camera phone sends a message without the picture that obstensibly went with the message. With luck I will be able to send the pictures to my email and upload them for all to see.

^NO, there's a saying that "a Picture is worth a 1000 words" though.

However, I'm pretty sure that the person who invented that slogan was illiterate. Any good writer could essentially make an image/picture out of their words.

So here's the thing; if a writer paints a vivid picture using only 20 words, has he in fact written a passage that is worth 1000 words? hmmm...

i guess that's one way to cheat the system. i must also add that i don't pick up a book unless its got some great pictures in it, or else i know it'll put me to sleep. helps the imagination part i guess.

Well, I'm an avid reader of both literature and light novels, on top of having graduated from college with an English Major, and currently in the graduate program for Creative Writing, so my position on the issue is 360 degrees from yours.
