So I took a hit for the team. I told my GF that if she played with me I'd watch whatever movies she wanted me to for the next week... Here how in played out
Her Army: Braxas, G-nators, Nikita Agents, McDirks, and Allastaire
My Army: Nilf, DW7K, Ninjas, Kozuke, and Q9
I started the game with initiative thinking this would be one of my easiest wins yet. I marched DW7K up towards Braxas. She moved Braxas towards me. I closed the distance to 1 and blew up doing 4 damage. Nilf closed in and killed Braxas. She moved her G-nators and NA up. I took out two G-nators w/ Nilf. She moved in Allastaire and his brutes. Nilf fought long and hard, but died after causing 3 damage to Allastaire. The manky scottish gits marched over to Q9 and ate him for breakfast in ONE turn. I moved my Kozuke in and two turns later I had taken out all of the scottish people and had 1 kozuke left. I rushed the G-nator w/ my samurai and killed him only to be shot down by the agents. It was down to my ninjas to overcome the nikitas "I'll kill you if you come next to me" move and win the game (Which is very hard to do if you roll for dissappear and have to move back adjacent the next turn; thus letting them roll again) I moved in all 3 ninjas, but one died. I killed two agents then surrounded the last one. One more ninja was killed with a lucky die roll... It was the "Crouching Tiger" going one on one with "Lucy Lou." I missed with my attack. She rolled one skull and I prayed for somethin less than 12... A 6!! My life was saved. I blocked the skull and killed the agent thus winning on eof the closest games of my life. I thought she would hate the game forever when she was tearing up when I PWNED Braxas in the face w/o breaking a sweat, but she wants to play me once every weekend so she can find an army that works for her and learn how to stratagize better. That was the best night of my weekend!!!!!!

Congrats. Oh yeah, the win as well the fact you have a girlfriend. Personally, I'm working on it. Asked a girl out today. Oh, right. Heroscape. Well, congrats on the win. Glad we have a new heroscape player. Good work.

Well, uhh, she hasn't igknowledge it. I don't feel like talking about it. And I don't like spamming. So, thats still an impresive win. Come out and... KILL! Then, your girlfriend still wants to play. Your a lucky man.

Yeah! I'm excited, but I'm debating if I should show her the castle this weekend. I think I'm going to give her a few more weeks to adjust and figure out the basic strategy of the game and find her niche of characters to suit her best before I confuse her w/ the castle.

That was the best night of my weekend!!!!!!During a weekend with your girlfriend, the best night was a game of Heroscape? Ouch.
(Although admittedly since my girlfriend lives in another state, I wouldn't be complaining if we had a weekend together and the best night was a night of 'scaping.)

Thats how fate works sometimes.... IT sucks for all of us single dudes... My advice is pick something you are good at and go for it. You could open a game shop but you need money to do that... A frist step would be to find a job. I'm working to get one at my school. It does not pay much but it's a start so I can at least save up enogh to move out when its time. Plus get things on my own rather then depend on mom. So time is what you need the most in order to make things work for you.

I lucked out and married a gamer. I get to see the alternative in my brother in law. He's a gamer (Clix) who married a shrew who believes anything other than yard and house work is an immature waste of time. Very closed minded, and frankly, dull as dish water. It really depresses him that he can't have any fun or share with her but she doesn't seem to get it.
Meanwhile my marriage (read friendship, casual romance, whatever applies) is greatly strengthened and a lot more fun through all kinds of gaming.
The irony of it is that she's a greedy meglomaniac who would leave a poor traveler to die in a ditch just to steal his last silver piece, and plots to take over every town, village, or hamlet she comes accross. While I live by ...The Code. You can see why we don't end up on the same side very often.

And the best part is I'm Grease free to this day! I still pick all the movies with the exceptions of the ones I know we won't actually pay attention during. That way when she wants to pick a movie I can say "You picked that one we watched last week." and she'll say "oh yeah!" Ah the things I've learned.
