They are on sale at my Wal-Mart too. If I wanted/needed more I would probably get them, but I bougt 5 at my Meijer a couple months ago for $10 each.

Wish we had a Meijers here. Walmart, TRU, Target and KMart are the only places I can find it. We have a Big Lots, which I scoured today, but no Heroscape anything there.

I've never seen a MS discounted lower than the normal $39 at any of Wal-Marts I've been in. I keep reading about these deals I wish I would run into one sometime.

The best deal I've seen which I think is accross the entire" Shopko " network of stores is the buy one toy or game and get 1/2 off on the second one.

Search for Heroscape on eBay. You'll see a few EOV Walmart sets pictured.

The WM exclusive EOV MS has a box that is a little larger than the normal MS. The additional 3 figures are tacked on to the end of the box and this extra part is yellow. Do a search on ebay and you'll see a pic. The difference between the 1st and 2nd ed. are the dice. The 1st ed has the red/blue dice. The 2nd ed has the white dice. There are two versions of the 1st ed. MS's. The early ones have sparkly water the later ones have the plain blue water. By the way...the EOV's are 2nd edition.

Fall 2004, 2 years ago...
One of the lesser local gaming stores had this box, called Heroscape. My they had a lot of these... "pretty big, and cool figures!" I said....
"95 DOLLARS!!!! Hah.. right..."

A month later...
I just gave the game a glance next time I was there and thought...
"Wow.. still a lot of these boxes, and they are 45$ now.. I can't afford that still, and the game must suck"

Boxing day 2004
I always go to all the game stores and malls boxing day looking for good gaming deals, and at that same store.. like zero boxes sold still, Heroscape.. it's price was slashed to $20 CAD, and it was also sitting on the half off table... I asked about it "Is this $20 the half off price, or do I get half off $20?"
They tell me that its $10... well at this point, I look at the OVER 30 BOXES OF MASTER SETS.. and I say... heck, I can buy one for $10.. I like that Dragon figure, it looks cool.. and I can make my own game up if it sucks.

A month later, after all my friends were hooked and I was craving more sets... I RUE that day!! Man... I could have bought 30 Master sets for $300.
I would have sold most of them, but $10 a master set... I still almost cry thinking about it.

I ended up paying full price for 4 more sets later on.
