Rectangular versions of the C3V-SoV cards released, as of May 3, 2013 (through Wave 16 and Brimstone).
(NOTE: It is better to download these and view with an actual PDF viewer. You may or may not need the ttf font file to get the font for the general to show up correctly: LamboHmkBoldhttp (http://math.lfc.edu/~yuen/heroscape/c3v/ttf/))
Artscow versions now updated.

I am not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this. Appoligies if it is not.
I know the Artscow playing card sale has been on for a while but thought it still may be news to some. Basically the deal is that you can create a custom deck of playing cards (or 54 cards that do not feature the standard playing card symbols) for $5.99 with free shipping.
I thought the Heroscape quest cards created by Malechi et al. looked like a lot of fun, but I never got around to printing and cutting all the cards. When I came across the artscow sale I thought it was a perfect way to create these cards without a lot of effort on my end. I thought that others here may also like a deck of these great cards without too much effort. Here is the link to the gallery I created http://www.artscow.com/ShareAlbum.aspx?Key=eqk0ghde
It will take just under two decks to create all the cards (including the expansion set series).
If you are unsure on how to create a deck here is a good tutorial that was posted on BGG.

Great work on the cards! Will you be updating the common unit page so we can just print that one several times or maybe post the individual cards so we can prepare the page ?
When using ArtsCow, what is the printing size for a playing card size print? I know Poker cards are 2.5 X 3.5 Inches, and the default it seems on Artscow is 4 X 6, should I be switching the sizes to Wallet??

I wasn't planning on doing a commons page, since one only needs one for one army. But I could make one.
I think the you can use whatever size since the image would rescale. I myself prefer the playing cards (2.5 x 3.5 as you wrote). I printed them as part of a whole 54 card deck, along with C3G cards.

forgive my ignorance, but when I opened the album you shared and clicked print it gave me larger sizes, am I missing something or should I be looking for some sort of Deck offer ?
Ill search the site again , I must be missing something.
Edit:
Found it! Thanks for the information playing with an album now, making 4 of each common squad plus a few extras

Glad you figured it out. What size cards did you end up getting?
You could also make a customized "design" deck. You could read the good tutorial in the link in post #14 above. You could also see the deck I made which has C3G cards and C3V cards in it, as an example:
Pages 13-16 (54 cards, mini image front, comic image back, extra cards filled with C3V, SoV, and some glyphs) (http://www.artscow.com/gallery/card/c3g-109-162-mini-comic-sjffga3wequ3)

Artscow update: I just uploaded a fixed Varkaanan Blade Dancers image (the previous card had a font size error that pushed off the last line of text - stupid msword) to the artscow album. I can't seem to delete the old image (until every design that uses that old image has deleted the use of that old image?).

This was done using the images with no zoom out.

Here is a close up of a card. The text is crisp and clear.

I just noticed the same font problem with Haduc and Zaeus I had with the Blade Dancers before. (The title of the first power wrapping to a new line. Stupid MSWord) The fixed images are uploaded to artscow. I can't delete the old bad images though.
Also adjusted Vydar to a lighter gray.

Let me know if there are any typos on these cards.mathguy, thanks so much for this Artscow design, mine is waiting to be printed out.
I've just proofread your cards. There are three errors in your Wave 14 ArtsCow set:
1) Nicholas Esenwein, Bloodborn Rising -- Even though it's not capitalized on the C3V card, the term "Undead" should be capitalized, as it's referring to a Species type.
2) Van Nessing, Divine Mission -- The first word should be "When," not "After."
3) PreyBlood Thrall, Blood Hunger -- A sentence is incorrect. - Should be:
To use Blood Hunger, the Preyblood Thrall must end its move adjacent to the chosen figure and must attack that figure if possible.
- Is:
To Use Blood Hunger, the Preyblood Thrall must end its move adjacent to the chosen figure if possible.

I just made a new album of artscow cards, with the more interesting font for the factions. See first post for new link.
Today I also discovered how some of those font mistakes happened on some cards (where the power title runs longer than one line). It turns out that MSWord was changing 10 pt font to 12 pt font when I copied and pasted!! I have a video that proves this. Stupid MSWord. So it looks like there might be some such random font mistakes in my artscow C3G cards that I have to fix. Ugh.

Mathguy,
I see that you've updated your army cards for C3V/SoV Wave 15. Thanks! I've just proofread the ArtsCow versions, and here's my report:
Discrepancies:
Skull Demon ArtsCow card has no Defense listed, it's completely blank. Should be Defense 4.
Command Courier's Move is 6, not the listed 5 (both versions).
Elaria the Pale's Slippery should be [near the end] "...leaving engagement attacks when using Slippery," not "...when moving with Slippery." (both versions)
SkeletonS of Annellintia. (both versions)
Vulcanmech Incendiborgs, Redundant Systems:
Should be "Redundant Systems markers on this card."
Not "Redundant Systems markers on this army card."
Should be "remove 1 Redundant Systems marker from this Army Card..."
Not "remove 1 Redundant Systems marker from this card..." (both versions)
Also, Cxurg'gyath (http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af353/Tolamos/CXURGGYATH-1.jpg) has been voted in by nyys Sept. 4, but doesn't have an official SoV army card yet. If you wanted to get a bit ahead of the curve, that is.

The cards have been fixed,
namely the errors as well as the rewordings (note that I take the text of the powers by copy-pasting the text on the page as opposed to retyping the text from the card image, and I guess they are sometimes different).

I don't know whether you're still looking for typos (or whether you've found this one or not), but I noticed the following this morning. On the Vulcanmech Incendiborgs, the Redundant Systems ability is worded as follows:
Redundant Systems
"Start the game with 3 Redundant Systems markers on this card. After a Vulcanmech Incendiborg receives one or more wounds, you may remove 1 Redundant Systems marker form this card to ignore all wounds."
The last sentence should have the word "from" instead of "form."
The cards look great.

Are there any templates available for these amazing looking cards? preferable in the standard general types?
I've searched through Heroscaper's customs download section and was either too oblivious, or ineffective at finding them.
I have some customs I'd like to have exist in this format. they're much easier to play with on the table in my opinion.

After proofreading Wave 15, 15.5 and the glyph cards, here's the errata report (PDF & Artscow versions):
Beakface Sneaks
The beakface card on page four says breakface...
DeathCommander Mark 3
- HEAVY SUPPORT COMMAND BEACON
When revealing an order marker on Deathcommander Mark 3's card, after taking his turn, if Deathcommander Mark 3 is engaged, you may immediately take a turn with any another Unique or Large Soulborg Hero....
Havech Eradicators
The targeting icon shows parts of five figures, not three.
Cxurg'gyath
- Psionic Explosion Special Attack
"Special" is omitted in one instance.
Quahon (spelling) :
- Lightning Breath Special Attack
You may also chose a second figure...
Each figure rolls defense dice seperately.
Mok (spelling) :
- Gunner Casualties
...remove on Dwarf figure...
- Gunner Special Attack
The first "Attack" isn't capitalized.
Thanks for this continuing effort, mathguy, I really enjoy these.

How do you add the colored borders to these cards? I'd like to make some for customs and want them to match. If I'm using Gimp, do I just put 1/4 inch colored border around the card (or how much exactly), or do you use a different method?

It's somewhat convoluted what I do... I use word to make the cards, and then use powerpoint to be able to copy/paste/resize the image large enough (to get enough detail) to be able to paste into a simple paint program to save as a png file. I wrote a C program that automatically addes a border to a PNG file that matches the title bar color. The actual size of the border was settled on by trial and error. Yup, convoluted.

I also added a link to a ttf file that might be needed for the PDFs to show the font for the general correctly.

How weird. You can see that it was correct in the PDF but somehow the font for "Mark 3" got magnified when it was copied and you can see the "3" in the middle of the next line. Anyway, I fixed the artscow image.

Hi mathguy,
How do you add the colored borders to these cards? I'd like to make some for customs and want them to match. If I'm using Gimp, do I just put 1/4 inch colored border around the card (or how much exactly), or do you use a different method?
Thanks.
Thanks, I recently started my own method for making them, and it is working well.
Does anyone have plans of making an Artscow set for the official Heroscape units that matches these cards? (I know Raudulfr Shieldcrusher has some, but they're not available on artscow, plus the figures don't have the fog effect). I also know about grithogs, and while the presentation of them is amazing, I still prefer these.

Look great!
One typo on page 3: says 'Cathay Spearmen" should read "Cathar Spearmen"
Also, any chance of getting the alternative pictures for the Skull Demons? Would look good on the Uncommon page to have all 4 Skull Demons rather than 4 images of the same one.

Am I the only one who thinks that the hex cards fit the theme better?

Am I the only one who thinks that the hex cards fit the theme better?
No, I've always used the hex cards.
But, they do require more paper and if you're cutting them out by hand, then it takes a lot longer to do so.

True. Personally, I don't even make customs at all, but even if I did, I'd say it's worth the extra trouble for the classic look.

Thanks for the typo report. I have fixed the PDF version but not yet the Artscow version.
And good idea on the Uncommon page versions of the Skull Demons. I will do that next chance I get.

Next, in March Elaria the Pale's (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?p=1633614#post1633614) Slippery power wording was revised thusly:
SLIPPERY 6
If an opponent’s Squad figure moves adjacent to Elaria the Pale and onto a space where that Squad figure can end its movement, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 6 or higher, Elaria the Pale may immediately move up to 4 spaces. Elaria the Pale will not take any leaving engagement attacks when moving with Slippery. Elaria the Pale can use this power only if she ends her Slippery move not adjacent to any enemy figures. You may not roll for Slippery more than once during any turn.
.
Sunday update: After printing out the latest batch of Army Cards (Hoplitron, Wave 16 and Brimstone), I've had a chance to proofread all PDF and Artscow cards. The following errata appear to be the same on both card versions.
Tomb Skeletons
Flanking: "...it subtracts one from its defense dice."
Skeletal Form: "...not a Cleric or a Wizard, ..."
* Brimstone
Flying: Extra space after the apostrophe in Brimstone's.
Kursus (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?p=1796949#post1796949)
Sonic Fists Special Attack:The following sentences have been omitted (due to space?)Kursus only needs a clear sight shot at the chosen figure. (important)
Each figure rolls defense dice separately.
Bound: "...and Bound over obstacles such as Ruins.... If Kursus is engaged when he starts his Bound, he will receive take any leaving engagement attacks."
Augamo (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?p=1796996#post1796996)
Ramming 6:
" When a small or medium figure rolls defense dice and is not destroyed by a normal or special attack from Augamo, immediately roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 6 or higher, you may Ram the figure. The player who controls the Rammed figure must place that figure, if possible, on an empty space within two spaces of its current location, within clear sight of Augamo but not adjacent to him. The space must be on the same level as or lower than its current location...."
