I am new around here and this is my frist post but I think its an apropriate one. I didn't see much on here about making your own houses and what not and I wanted to say that I have actually made some myself. These aren't buildings that just block and whatnot they actaully fit on the board and figures can enter, fight, etc. I have made only one house so far and it is a 2 story house in which most models fit (not dragons). But I have yet to come up with legit street fighting and engagement rules. I think there would be some big deiffrences when fighting in a city rather than normal fighting.

Welcome to the site, Mr.Zolt.

First off, urban warfare is an interesting idea, i'm sure theres been plenty of discussion in the Custom terrain and obstacles forum (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/viewforum.php?f=25). You may want to check there to see if theres any relevant threads - if not, the regulars there are more likely to be able to point you in the right direction than us custom figure people ;)

Second, one of the problems I can think of with the idea would be that new rules would have to be written or amended to fit with HS as it stands. Such things as "Line of Sight" and movement would be directly impacted by having internal structure (ie, buildings figures can move inside of); making the relatively simply combat system a bit more complicated.

Basically, if you have terrain/objects already built, but want to share ideas about rules and things, the forum linked above is probably the place for you. Hope this helps.

Marvelscape should have some rules for that.

I have only made one building so far. I haven't painted it yet so its crude looking but I'm going to paint it soon. I'm thinking japanesse style or something like that. I did put windows and doors in the builds for line of sight purposes.

Ok, I'll try to get one ASAP. I do have some work left to do such as filling in some of the gaps with woodputty (pretty important step there) and painting it, im not sure what styl yet. Japanese, European, etc.

If you leave the buildings as just obstacles it makes things much less difficult but adds a lot to the look of them game. Just check out bad calvin's City Scape.

Ya know i just thought that building might add a whole new deminsion to the fight. I really love stategy games (the whole reason i do this, also why i love large fights) and thought that would add to it.
