If this have already been discussed, please tell me where and thank you in advance.
Issue #1 - Glyphs up or down
Are they truly supposed to be placed up so that you know what they are or down so you have to flip them to see. I have been told the official way is to place them up so that you can see them. If that is indeed the case, do you all prefer that as it seems to take some of the mystery out of the game. I will sometimes place healing glyph up so a squad figure does not land on it unknowingly.
Thoughts?

It all depends on the sceniro.
Some say up, and some say down.

In the rules it says they can be placed either power side up or symbol side up.
I prefer them to be symbol side up, for me it adds a little more excitement to have that feeling of randomness and mystery. I like putting in multiple curse glyphs, it makes it riskier to try and take glyphs.
But thats not to say that power side up doesn't have its advantages too. They can be used power side up to entice players to go for them and have some great battles fighting for glyph control.
They can both be used to enhance game play, and you can do either way you choose.

Both ways are official: it depends on the scenario. Most official scenarios have glyphs in a predefined spot, so you have to make them visible. However, some scenarios will have you shuffle a number of glyphs and place them face down on a number of spots.

Rules do state that Glyph of Kelda should never be power side down.
This is becasue single life figures are to never use a kelda and non injured heros are also not allowed to use the Kelda glyph.

Interesting that makes a lot of sense though, and I never noticed that. We don't play with the Glyph of Kelda to often...

Yeah, I don't play with the glyph of kelda much either.
The fear of my friend's charos grabbing it. *shudders*
Don't want that.

We just recently started utilizing the glyph of Kelda but have house ruled it as follows. It works exactly like the glyph of Sturla except it only affects the figures of the player standing on the glyph. In other words if you land on it and you have destroyed figures you may be able to revive them. If you land on it and have no previously destroyed figures then it is removed and nothing happens. You still roll the D20 as in Sturla.

This is a question from a while ago.
We play it as if a non-injured hero or squad figure steps on an unrevealed glyph of Kelda they are to return to their previous hex and stop movement.
