I'd like to bring some attention to the card game Raiding Parties (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/136088207/card-game-raiding-parties). It's a CCG that's looking to get funded via Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/). (If you haven't heard of Kickstarter, I urge you to check it out. It's very cool!)

Raiding Parties has some good things going for it:

It's about pirates, so it's awesome by default.
It features the art of Don Maitz (http://www.paravia.com/DonMaitz/website/MaritimeHeritage/), most famously known for the Captain Morgan logo (lift your leg!), but always has amazing maritime/pirate art.
It has a cool randomization mechanic, utilizing a shuffled deck of traditional playing cards instead of dice. The card value and/or suit is used to determine hits, etc. I especially love how this fits with the pirate theme.

The project has a ways to go to reach its funding goal, so if you like the project, consider pledging pledging a little, and be sure to tell others about it. There are some pretty cool rewards offered, like complete decks signed by Don Maitz or Nick Pace (the game's designer). If you're willing to shell out more, you could even get a signed print of "40 Theives". Additionally, if the game goes to production, Nick has given me permission to create a Battleplan (http://battleplan.mythacle.com/) console for it, since it's a deck building type of game.

Oh, and one other thing: he's offering free demo cards, so that should be fun to check out. (Information is on the project's Updates page.)

Anyway, just wanted to mention it to help generate some activity. Hope you find it interesting!
