Heres the alien land terrain ruleset.
Blue Land - This land provides a small magical bonus. +2 to all d20 rolls when standing on blue land.
Red Land - Inspires rage when nearby. +1 attack dice while standing on red land.
Green Land - Easy to travel on. 1/2 movement to go through green land (round up)
Metal Forest - Dense foilage provides better defense. When rolling for defense, the blank side counts as a shield (newer dice only)
Obsidian Desert - Sandstorms impede sight. Any figure that must shoot over Obsidian desert tiles recieves -3 range.
Badlands - Heavy gravity. All flying is restricted over badlands squares. When you enter a badlands square from a different type of land it takes an additional movement (similar to stopping in water).
Moon Rock - Low gravity on moon rock. While standing on moon rock all figures count as though they were flying for purposes of movement only. In addition when moving off of moon rock you still count as flying for one extra space. This may allow you to move over a water tile or change altitude.
Outer Space - You may fly over outer space tiles but may not land or walk on them in any way. If you do land on an Outer Space tile, your figure is lost in space (dead).

Good stuff, man. Hopefully Grishnakh will show up with some of his stuff, or BadCalvin with his buildings and assorted awesome things, and we can really kick this off big-time.
I love the desert with the little cacti.

Dude, that desert looks quite realistic. The jungles looks great too. Lava and snow are awsome. And the alien terrain are really colorful! Overall, they are all great!. The trees in the jungle really bring things out, but there should be more trees. I havent been to a jungle, but since im part Brazilian, i know what a jungle looks like. Not saying bad things, but i think that the trees need more quantity and a little bit more size, that way the ground is actually dark if you shine light down from above. Leaves should really spread out so figs can walk under them. That would really bring out the jungle characteristics. That would be great for a WWII re-creation or something like that. We already have the American soldiers so just a little more to go. :D
Everything looks great tho. Just giving some helpful advice.

Thanks. Bardodor Id like to really do up the jungle with plants but theres limits as to how many I can add and keep maps playable. Its kind of tough to have plants around that dont eat up spaces on the board. Soon the lava set is getting a big upgrade too (waiting for supplies bleh) and Im working on a new set of alien terrain for someone.
Eyeofsauron can you recommend any places that would sell that kinda columns I have looked around some wedding places to no avail. Also I have to finish the desert stuff I have more cactuses that look great but are a huge pain to put together. Update coming soon!

NP. I know that trees do take up a lot of space, but thats how it is in the jungle. Maybe you could make a maze with the trees so that there still is a path, but it would take awhile to get through because of all the twists and turns. Rangers would not be good to fight in there. But ya, in the jungle/rainforest, there are a bunch of trees. It is hard to navigate through, but it is possilbe.
You know, i just thought this, you could make trees that only take up a part of the hex, but figs can still move on them. Or make custom tree hexes where its a hex with a tree already on it sticking up from the ground. Just some ideas. Keep up the god work tho. It all looks really good.[/code]

Its just a stone coating stuff. You can find it in the paint section of a craft store (I went to Pat Kattans). It does look okay but Im not planning on making another set. The paint/goop stuff is really hard to work with. I dont remember the brand name but you should see something similar around.

Alright Barfodor I gave it a shot. Jungle got a major overhaul with bigger, better, denser foilage. The figures climb around under the plants. What do you think?
Moon Rock update soon (tonight I hope)

Michaels sells columns boss
Michael's craft store is where I got them. They came in short and long sizes. I used the shorts for the columns that I wanted to be whole columns and the longs for breaking and creating the broken columns.
If you absolutely can't find any where you live, let me know and I will pick you up some packs and ship them to you probably cheaper than you could special order them....or trade me something and I will ship you some already "ruined" ones! :)

Okay....I felt the alien set though nice was not attractive enough so I went with a better look. I have expanded alpha prime into a 3 color set to make up the soulborg home planet of metallics.
The lava set got some nice large terrain feature to enhance the existing tiles/boulders.
If anyone likes anything they see in my pictures, Id be more than happy to tell you all the materials I used and get you started making your own. Also, Id be more than happy to trade/sell you some. Just drop me a pm. Also, if anyone has some cool ideas for new terrains and dont like making stuff let me know :D

Dude, i saw your new jungle. Great job! There are lots of trees, the figs walk under them, and there are lots of trees! Wow, it really is amazing! Thats pretty much what it is like in a rain forest. Great job.
Actually in a true rainforest, trees go really really high, but if you were to change that, then things wouldnt be as good. Just keep em the way they are! It is all really good.
Also, cool volcanoes. They look really cool. The lava looks great as well. The alien is still as colorful as ever. And now with more colors, the soulborg home world can really come to life now. New step for Heroscape: Plantary Invasions!

Thanks Barfodor I looked all over for some bigger leafier stuff and I think it turned out nice.
I figure if they can summon warriors through time they can also alter the landscape in Valhalla to suit where the warriors come from. That and alien worlds are cool! Heh.

dude, as I said before "Planetary Invasions!" Thats all what we need now. Or we could have re-enactments of WWII using the AE and your jungle or something like that. All we need now are boats and fighters
