in a few days the smash hit hits the world!

the whole word no ... no a peace loving land will not get the
in grandads story called the old enemy anation who was called in the early daysGermany :!: is scared of losing on x-box live like when they lost that COD tournament that was hosted from 1941-1945

here is a story why germans hate gore and co

As children fun to murders find

With sadistischen computer games the protection of children and young people fails

Armed with power saws, baseball bats, shovels and pistols against Passanten, pensioners and policemen fight - and all this with cool music and with beautiful women additionally. That is the success prescription of the computer game “GTA San Andreas”, which was sold world-wide more than ten million time.

The culture magazine in the Second Channel of German Television

In Germany the excessive force play is freely available starting from 16 years, i.e. the “maintenance software self-check” regards it suitable as young people.

“Killer plays approved”
For politicians such as of Lower Saxony Ministers of the Interior Uwe Schünemann (CDU) such age releases are “scandalous”. In the Second Channel of German Television magazine he criticizes aspects: “If killer plays to be released, where there are most brutal scenes, even still another quality seal wars, “approved starting from 16”, then is completely clear that there somewhat inclined runs.” Such practices would not have “anything with protection of children and young people to do”, so Schünemann.

In other plays, which are freely available in the trade, it means: “You on inexpressible pain forwards”, “use incite-taped baseball bats” prepare, “which know you about you, if you did not flog yourself ever”. Another play manufacturer recruits shocking radiographs with fractures” and “extremely realistic combat injuries” on the packing with “. Despite such virtual force excesses also such plays in German department stores can be marketed.

Tide of force plays
Uwe Schünemann: “The Ministers of the Interior are there demanded to go forward. We agreed, we want with Kriminologi Forschungsinstitut Lower Saxony proofs to lead that the USK acted here wrongly, and then however equal the order to give, “which are killer plays?” - then we want to have formulations for a manufacture prohibition and a spreading prohibition. “

Saxonia Minister of the Interior Dr. Albrecht Buttolo (CDU) regards the marketing practiced at present as “completely unakzeptabel, all the same whether starting from 16 or starting from 18”. Buttolo sees the resistance against the tide of force plays as totalsocial task: “I can express only my refusal that we must resist, against the fact that we accept a value decay with young people, actually irreversible consequences to have can.”

Quality of the testers
Its colleague Holger Hövelmann (SPD) from Saxonia notion criticizes: “It is frightening that the self control mechanisms to this extent wish themselves, like we all this, already does not function.”

The chief of the “maintenance software self-check”, Christiane Schulz, can not reconstruct the criticism of the ministries of the Interior as expected. Inquiries of aspects it regards the present practice of the USK as “optimal” and praises the quality of its testers and test preparations. The present age markings would not give “many reference points for the discussion - however for overall condemnation or abolishment or change.”

90 appraisals
Of Lower Saxony Ministers of the Interior Uwe Schünemann expresses itself for a restructuring of the protection of children and young people. Schünemann: “In any case belongs into national hands, which must by the youth Ministers is in the future differently organized, the USK surely cannot that in the future not make.”

Meanwhile Kriminologi Forschungsinstitut Lower Saxony (KfN) in Hanover examines 90 appraisals of the independent self-check for their fitness. Project manager Professor Dr. Christian Pfeiffer sees in numerous plays “the principle according to the article 1 Basic Law was hurt.”

“The blood spreads out”
Already the first investigation findings document a problematic evaluation practice of the USK. Pfeiffer: “Already playing the first twenty plays, which we examined, wakes substantial doubts with us whether the system functions. With some plays we to say “for the market at all been suitable”, with others would not recommend we higher age classifications.”

Professor Dr. Christian Pfeiffer further: “We see for example in a play that the player comes into the role to pull to a woman from the rear the knife by the neck then break down it, and a blood pool spreads or a woman with a shovel too exhausted, wild shouting, and then it lies in its blood… and then sees one dead ones, and the blood spreads.

“A border exceeded”
Those are scenes, where I cannot imagine at all that at all on the market belongs, because criminal acting is recompenced by ever more points, which one receives for it. Because thereby from my view a border is exceeded, which is ethicalally not acceptable, since I see also the principle from article 1, Basic Law hurt. (…) From our view it is completely clear that one of the most popular plays under ten-year, “, not at all on the market would be allowed to do GTA San Andreas”.”

She said "that's hot!"

If she is able to play GOW, does this mean the game has "idiot" mode.

You know you guys all saw Paris banging a Berserker with her night vision camera. "THATS HOT!"

Does this mean that the game is very easy???

I thought they modeled the Berserker after Paris Hilton?

Either way you look at it, its against the law. I don't know if the guy you are talking about is selling stolen copies or if he is legitimate business, which he would be then breaking the street date. Last I knew, breaking a street date is punishable by a $5,000 fine per copy.

Breaking a street date is, to my knowledge, not actually against the LAW. It just pisses off the manufacturer/studio/etc and makes them less inclined to offer you product in the future (thus, in a way, fining you by preventing you from being able to obtain their product easily), or at least less inclined to offer you any kind of deals or incentives.

Just like how some theaters that showed the first prequel Star Wars too soon didn't get the next movie, losing out on tons of ticket revenue. Or stores that put out Star Wars toys, Tickle Me Elmos, etc before the street date didn't get more product or were otherwise penalized, not through legal channels, but through financial/trade ones.

Many stores will break street dates if they are able to get away with it quietly. It helps to know people. I've gotten a few XBOX games and such over the years up to three or four days before street. The store just sells it to me cash but doesn't ring up the sale until the street day. There's nothing illegal about that if the store is willing to run the bad relations risk.

Okay, so I've been playing this game like mad and:

1 ) THE GAMEPLAY ROCKS!

2 ) THE GRAPHICS ROCK!

3 ) Co-op is the only way to really enjoy this game in storymode, :(

4 ) The story and plot are lacking but the game makes up for it with pure action.

5 ) If you play online VS mode you really need to find a good team of guys that you can work with or at least have an understanding of teamwork. (some people just never listen  )

6 ) THIS GAME IS NOT A HALOesque GAME! :D

7 ) The Health system has a way of really adding to the game's potential by letting you duck for cover and regain your life back.

8 ) The BOSS levels are INSANE, I haven't even made it past the first one!??!?!?! :D

9 ) There are a really uncalled for amount of mini movies, :(

10 ) The Gore Factor....What can I say, you get to chainsaw people in half, shove grenades into their chest, snipe off their ENTIRE freaking skull, execute them however you choose once they're down, Blow a hole through them with a shotgun and kick around their bodyparts like a sadistic game of soccer.

Seeing as how I still can't make it anywhere in in the campaign, online is the only way I like to play.

Some great players to look for in this game while online.

KingArthur1976

Reaverone

ProJamesBond

TallStack

I'm at the Berserker level. I keep getting killed by him. I'm confident I will defeat him, just might take a bit. I am loving the campaign. The story is flimsy and is being discovered through the cut scenes and action. The way the game seguays into a scene is very cool. Some extra cool things I love about this game:

When you run you get camera blur, and the perspective changes so you are following your character just behind him as he crouch/runs for cover. It is like the camera is on a skateboard low to the ground. It reminds me of watching raw camera footage of police firefights or footage from combat.

Spin your character around and the background blurs so you get the sensation of being on a merry-go-round.

The game uses cover beautifully and in fact is the key to playing it. Learning how to bound from cover to cover is a challenge but the control scheme is so tight that it is a real pleasure.

If there is a binding contract between the vendor and the manufacturer, the manufacturer could file a lawsuit against the vendor for breaking the street date.

Great game... finally a real reason to be satisfied with my 360. (there's been some good games out so far, but nothing that really stood out as feeling totally new in terms of graphical power and over all quality).

Co-op is outstanding, someone in another forum somewhere likened it to a modern day contra in that you and a buddy are just plowing through waves and waves of baddies together and I think of that comparison each time I play. It was fun back then and its super fun once again.

I've only tried the online vs a couple times so far... it's also quite fun, but the teams I've been on had next to no communication and I wasn't much help either since I was just learning the maps. I think with a few friends, or at least some people that'll acknowledge some basic battle plans, it'd be awesome. I just got to work a little while ago, and all i wanna do is go home and play more.

I agree that GoW and HALO were easy for me to pick up on being more of a PC guy.

I will also agree that GoW is a groundbreaking/changing game. IMO in the way that it makes a 3rd person shooter feel just like a 1st person. Plus once you get the whole "A" button thing down, this game is AWESOME!

Yea I love the 3rd person perspective. I've stayed away from fps so long because no matter what they do with it, I've always felt it looked incredibly stupid to see your floating hand bobbing around in front of you. I like to SEE my character, see how well concealed he is behind a wall or ducking down... how he reacts to getting shot etc. Gears does it so well!

A good shotgun blast can take down a Chainsaw addict any day of the week.

I came across this when playing online, a buddy would always run around with his chainsaw, so I would just wait for him to get within a few feet and Blow him to pieces with my Shotty, :D

I think this game was really truly made to shine when you do a co-op game.

For those of you dealing with the bats, if you don't already know, shoot every Propain tank that you see.

(there is also a part where you come to a dark alley and you can't find a way through, with piles of debris on either side, the tank will be hidden and just barely in view)

I usually keep away from ranked, people get too edgy and stressed. I'll more than likely stick with just player match, :D

I've got a question about unlocking achievents. I made it through to fighting Raam on insane. I happened to check the achievment list, and beating Acts 3 and 4 on insane were still locked. I don't know why. Then I went back to the last chapter of Act 3 on insane and beat it again. The achievment remained locked. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? What are the gamer point you unlock good for? This is the first video game I've had and I'm not connected to XBox live yet.

Thanks.
