Hell yeah! Maybe the fan reaction will be big enough to get the attention of someone at Fox?

I got so excited when I read the headline on Google News, yesterday, only to find out that they're just repeated the original series. More than anything, I want this show back, but sadly, I don't think it'll happen.

I'm right there with you Balantai...I wish they would bring it back...but what's his name (the captain) is on Castle right now and that is doing well.

Yeah, I really want a season 2 of this show. One that starts up after the movie would be great. Then again a season 2 that take place between the last episode of season 1 and the movie would be sweet too, just then they would need a season 3 that picks up after the movie then.
I think it would be too hard to pull off though now that most of the cast and creators has moved on to other things. Summers salary alone now would be much bigger that it once was, she is a big star now.

If more people are exposed to this great series, I am happy!

Did I miss something she did to make her a star? I know she was in the Terminator show, but that didn't do well.

Since Firefly I have now personally seen her in the TV shows The 4400, The Unit, Terminator: TSCC, & The Cape as reoccurring or major characters. If you check out her bio I'm sure she has been in other things I haven't seen too.

When she was on FireFly she was an unknown for the most part. Since then she has starred and guest starred on a lot of shows including Terminator (which did run 2 seasons) The 4400, The Unit, Dollhouse and The Cape. I'd guess she is rating a higher salary now.

I read a quote recently from Nathan Fillion (the captain) that said he would drop whatever he had to in order to replay his roll on Firefly.

I really missed this show. And really really hoped that there will be a Season 2 or even more. Heck even Serenity (the movie) was great watch.

I think that is all true, but she is still not a star. Star draw people to whatever they are in. She is a good actress and might cost a little more, but not so much that it would be difficult to get her back. It isn't like In Living Color coming back and putting that cast together. It had people that became stars.
It is no big deal and I wasn't trying to start an argument. I was just making sure I hadn't missed something she had done that had really done well.

Well it may be just guys, since she is pretty hot, but I know a few that if you mention that Summer Glau is in something they will be interested in checking it out. She might not be superstar status, but she is a known quantity now with her own appeal. Not saying she couldn't be talked into doing Firefly again, it will just cost more then it did the first time around. Anyway, if they do bring it back I will rejoice, but I'm not holding my breath for it to happen. I'd even take another movie, which might be a bit easier to pull off in terms of scheduling and financial commitment required to get it off the ground.

Unfortunately, its Joss Whedon himself who has said it would be impossible now to do more Firefly, because everyone has scattered to different projects. JW and his brother have done a couple of graphic novels since the show's demise.
Although its relatively low profile, Nathan Fillion and Gina Torres have done voices on the animated Justice League Unlimited (once in the same episode)--and NF is to be Green Lantern in June--and now Summer Glau is Kara Zor-el, the protagonist in Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. Maybe they should do an animated Firefly, which might make it easier to get committments from the cast!

I think that is /because/ of her work in Firefly. Most guys I know who like her and her work are huge Firefly fans. I just watched this series for the first time a few months back and I would be ecstatic to see it return. It was marvelous.
