If you own this I need you to tell me about it. I've played the demo and it seems like a great way to burn half an hour. But I can imagine it becoming tedious after a dozen games and I could use some input from someone who has hit that point.

I've never played it, but it looks a lot like nethack.

There are tons of Rogue-likes out there, and most of them are free and fun. They do however have a pretty steep learning curve (at least nethack does). I just couldn't imagine paying for a game like this unless I thought it was really really special.

Of course Diablo 1 or 2 are my favorite roguelikes, but I can't play those anymore after the accident (when I played D2 for a year, tried to quit, then relapsed for another year, its a wonder I graduated :-P)
