Utgar Civil War

Greetings Scapers,

I am hosting the largest game I have ever done. I call it the Utgar Civil War.

Essentially, after Ke Mo Shi disappeared, Taelord and SuBakNa began disagreeing about the way they should destroy Jendar. Taelord believed that brute strength was the way and he attracted like minded warriors to his cause. SuBakNa believed that tactics and intelligence were the key to victory.

The tensions slowly built until a Marro Drone killed an Arrow Grut over a beer. This was the spark. Fighting broke out and the two partied danced around each other for weeks. Neither could gain the upper hand and each small battle ended in a draw. Both Taelord and SuBakNa knew that something was needed to turn the tide. They knew the wellspring of Obsession could break the stalemate. Both commanders raced their armies to the Wellspring. After grueling marches, both armies arrived at the same time

I am going to use the Wellspring of Obsession from the official site. I figure the ability to beef up the warriors will make the game quite interesting.

I tried to make the armies balanced, but different tactics. Army 1 has all the bonding and the heavy hitters, but army 2 has all the range and tactical special abilities.

Oh My God, it was a bloodbath

I took the Marro army and my opponent took the other army.

He began by rushing his army to the wellspring to get the strength advantage. While he was doing that I moved my Deathwalkers 8K and 9K to the high ground and put a line of Marden Hounds right in front of them along the base of the mountain. I then moved the Marro Warroirs and the Zetians up there. It took about 3 full rounds to get his forces to where he wanted them, and then he started to push an attack. He led off with a boosted Krug. I put all of my order markers on DW8000 and mowed down Krug and a few orcs first. He charged the hill with orcs warriors Grimnack, and Tornack. The ones that I didn’t rapid fire were plagued. He then tried the same tactic with minions. He could not get them close enough. He was desperate, so he tried to snipe the DW with ranged fighters. All that did was get them in range for me. By the end of round 8, I had wiped his entire ranged army with the loss of 1 hound (fireline). I then started picking at anyone outside of the water and Taelord’s aura. I then got cruel. I walked DW700 up to the shore and detonated him (17). Taelord and Nerac were affected. A nice couple of bursts from 9000 finished them. He started to charge with the wolves, and I moved the hounds down and brought a great plague upon his house (it was so nice of him to cluster all his heavy hitters in the lake).

He surrendered shortly after.

I agree, but as I have no digital camera that I can use for personal, I tried to be as descriptive as possible. It really wasn't as much of a game as we thought it would be.

Kind of a dull thread to report a one sided battle (think Bears vs Patriots in the superbowl XX for all you history buffs).
