HJ asked how nether googled kanji and nether told him he googled what he thoguht the word might be. HJ wasn't asking a question that could be googled, but rather how to google a google. Google google google?

Bummer.. I have a Nelson's Kanji Dictionary. I would've enjoyed looking that up for as often as i use it anymore.

Nether's right. The reading is eiyuu or hero. The two characters are: EI "brilliant, talented" and YUU "man, brave".

It's some of the ugliest calligraphy I've seen in a long time. Not very Japanese looking.

Yes, I speak Japanese. And, one can easily Google by Japanese kanji --even via the English Google interface-- if you have your computer set up to typeset kanji. (Very easy on a Mac.)
