So a flying guy can't attack someone that is above them. For example, if Charos is standing outside a castle wall he can not hover up and smash the defenders on the wall unless he moves up onto the wall himself.

Is that right? Aside from using the "true flying" rules from the codex, has anyone thought about houseruling that? I find it just slightly lame.

Right,unless you are doing the true flying thing, they are not adjacent until charos flys up and lands on the a battlements.

but since this is offical rules, no you can't hover as you attack
