Ewok is certainly ready for some head to head action. Are we settled at 550 pt. 16 spaces? I look forward to play testing a new army. I tried a new army the other day that consisted of Red/Black Wyrmlings rolling with Nilfheim and a Fen Hydra. It worked out okay, but nothing worthy of running against you guys. Oh, I almost forgot.

BTW, I just got done running a couple of playtests against Ewok Esenwein (Chris), and beat him decisively both times:twisted:, which makes me feel a bit better about that skunk he put on me in the last tourney! Hope you guys are ready!

Added Devin. I'm really looking forward to this. All of us in my crew are used to going up against armies constructed with our specific metagame in mind, so I'm really curious to see what you guys are bringing to the table.

Last night, while a few of us were fine-tuning our armies, I got the chance to teach the game to a new player. To quickly get him into a game, a threw together an army for him that would fit into the all-hero format we'll be playing today. I was really just trying to give him some relatively simple and effective figures - Cyprien, Agent Carr, Syvarris, Raelin (rotv) and Kaemon Awa. He owned me! "I was playing with the kid gloves on!" I protested, so Ewok got in the driver's seat, and gave me a rematch. Owned again!

So, to the point, I'm loving how the experience of tourney play is really exposing me to different concepts than the crew here usually venture into. See ya tonight!

No way. Like any card it depends on the player and the situation. For a nuke player this card is fantastic. I'll have to remember to draft him in one of our future tourneys so that he can gain some street credit.

OH YEAH! That tournament rocked. All the maps were a blast and the competition was top notch. Absolutely love the trophy. Lord Trask and his family are some of the best hosts I've ever had the privilege of encountering. I am grateful and thankful to meet them and appreciate their hospitality. Thank you.

Ewok wins this years trophy

I would like to thank all of the players that came out for this. It was a lot of work but it was well worth it to see everyone having a great time. We didn't request Prize support this year, but we had enough to qualify and we learned how to get space (not my house) for next year.

We are already looking forward to 2011!

That's all I can remember off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure I got these right, having playtested against each of them a few times. Regretfully, I think I played Ewok Esenwein a time or two too many! We probably played our tourney armies against each other 8 or 9 times in the two weeks preceding the tourney; my army had gone 12-3 in testing overall, only losing the two nights before tourney (Ewok's being among the two armies to which I lost). Oh, well, 2nd place isn't bad....but, first would be better:twisted:!

EDIT:Just remembered Samual's army, which I faced in the first round.

THAT'S WHAT MY STRATEGY WAS THE WHOLE TIME! I PLAYED YOU UNTIL I FOUND THE WEAK SPOT IN THE ARMOR! Not really. Nate is just a paladin and will be cool enough to tell you how you played your army below efficiency after each match provided your pride doesn't prevent you from listening. Props to Nate for being the eternal sportsman, because without him I'm still drafting C-tier garbage and making dummy moves.
