I'm visiting relatives in Maryland and for some reason they get their Sunday paper inserts delivered on Saturday. ToysRus' flyer has a buy one get one free offer on all MB Parker Bros and Hasbro games. The picture includes a Heroscape box (only shows the spine of the box cant tell what it is). Dont know if it is just for the Master set or what but will definitely check it out in the AM.
Sorry if this was posted already elsewhere.

Sorry- should read buy one get one 50% off...wishful typing I guess.

Well they either get a "Bull Dog" edition of the paper or more likely the carrier is trying to save some time on Sun and deliver them now.

Thanks for the heads-up! I am in MD as well, and I have a coupon they mailed me for $10 off a $50 purchase. Combined with the sale you mentioned I can get a pair of Master Sets for $50 (they'll be my first non-sparkly water sets).

Before everybody get's all excited, the sale is Buy 1, Get 1 at 50% off. This brings TRU to the same prices as Walmart and Target - 25% off. However, there is a 10% off one item coupon on the front page of the ad.

If anyone is ineterested my TRU just got in 3 sets of wave 5. I would be happy to pick some up and mail it to soemone at cost. The small expansions would be about $10 each (if you get an even amount).

 Toys R Us . com has Hot Lava Death, aka Volcarren Wasteland, buy one get one 50 percent off.
I ordered two sets and they will be delivered to my house for only $25.42.
Sure beats $18.49 my TRU wants for one!

Same ad in the Saturday paper in Rochester Minnesota, buy one Hasbro game get another at 50% off. (We do not have a Sunday paper so all the Sunday ads go in the Saturday paper.)

The HLD were $14.99 at the TRU B&M in Framingham MA. I don't see the need for more than the 2 I already have, though.

Wave 5 expansions are at hasbrotoyshop, which with the current 25% off everything and free shipping is just as good, if you can wait for them to arrive.

I scored two Tundra sets at a nearby TRU. I also found a hard to find Soundwave Transformer as well. With all the discounts I had I paid $43.00 for almost $70 of stuff. Yee-ha! :D

Okay, this may be posted somewhere else already but, I thought it was worth mentioning.
TRU online is offering Buy One, Get One Half Off on the following - The Master Set, Volcarren Wasteland, Orm's Return, and Road to the Forgotten Forest. Plus, free shipping.
I also realize that House MOuse sponsors stuff here so I don't what to take business away from them, but this is a great deal and hard to pass up.

HOUSE MOUSE has to buy these Lava sets from Toys R Us at retail, so I appreciate the "heads up" on these types of promotions.
Afterall, a good deal is a good deal!

I can think of several reasons:
1. Short on money during that sale.
2. "their fill" could have changed with the release of newer expansions. More lava or trees to go with the cool castle, etc.
3. Wanting more of set to mod (snowy terrain, etc.)...kinda goes with number 2 but it does fall into a different category.
There could be more...

You missed the most obvious; Most TRU, like mine, didn't have anything in stock during the last BoGo except the Master Sets!

True. I was considering online sales not just b&m sales but that is a good one.

I got into HS just before the last BOGO sale. I got 2 master sets, 1 RTTFF, and 1 VW. In retrospect I should have got more at the time, but I was still new and did not know how much I was going to get into HS.

Sandra, the Sunday papers this week and last had 10% off coupons for one item. My local TRU manager told me he would allow me to use one coupon per item in my order because the coupon doesn't say otherwise. So if you have access to a lot of papers you can get 10% off your whole order depending on the manager's demeanor. Of the four TRU's within reasonable distance of my home, two said they will allow this and two will not.
I'm saving my five coupons for the five flagbearers....hopefully they will hit stores before the sale ends!

I actually kind of wish I would have bought two more lava sets looking back on things. They are by no means necessary, but I could definetly use some more lava and 7.50 for the sets was a steal. I often find myself wanting more of certain sets later on.

I'm thinking of buying another Tundra and another Lava....I've been building some big maps lately and I hate running out of terrain. Ideally I want to get to a place where so long as I'm building on my usual sized table I'll never run out of parts.

How do you access the 25% and free shipping deal? I can't seem to find it at their site. Did you have to sign up for spam? Cuz I did just now (i.e. 'relevant' updates), but I'd appreciate if someone could connect me to the link.
Thanks!

If you're worried about spam, just make a junk e-mail address on Hotmail and have it sent there.

Now I have 4 Master Sets..............

Right out of college I worked in product marketing at a publishing company. I had lots of 1 0n 1 contact with the hard lines Manager for Wally World, and the other big players. At this point in the product season, no new product placements will happen until Black Friday. That and the fact at my TRU and WW, the shelves are FULL of older product. I'm betting the SKUs are the same or nothing new will be ordered until that stuff is long gone.
No I have no crystal ball I am gazing into or insider info, Sam316 no longer returns my e-mails. Just call it a gut feeling.

Well, a TRU manager today told me that Avalon Hill games are NOT Hasbro games. "Hasbro just distributes them!" he insisted. At any rate, you can't get the sale price on them. :(

well, i don't think that TrU.com (online) you can get 50% off your second purchase of Monsters Menace America, Betrayal, or Nexus Ops....
Why would anyone assume they should be able to get it in the B&M TrU's?

Because the online sale says "SELECT" games, while the ads plastered all over the games section at the stores say "ALL HASBRO GAMES."

I just went to my local Toys R Us and they are having the same 50% off second item discount in-store as they are having online. So no shipping if that was a problem. I bought a couple of the Wastelands because now I can at least have enough lava if I decide to use it.
