Okay, so i posted once somewhere else that i was interested in a Beowulf/Grendel figure (from the Anglo-Saxon epic Beowulf). Well, at that time, i did not know that they gave a description of grendels lair, etc etc etc. Well, we just finished it up today (about 10 minutes ago) and i have been inspired. I plan on setting up a map with an underwater cave on one end to represent grendels lair, and on the other end a castle to represent the mead hall called Herot, which grendel attacks numerous times.

Who knows, maybe i can score some EC with my teacher

PoF: If you read this before i talk to you, i might end up keeping your castle set longer than expected.

I'd really love to make a custom for these guys, but my creativity is lacking.....

have you seen the movie beowulf and grendel? i cant say it was the best movie i've ever seen or anything but something about it really got me. part of what i loved was the icelandic landscapes (pictured below) and part of it was the unexplained weirdness. anyway, though the story got a little silly at the end, the effect overall was pretty cool and VERY heroscapish.

check it out. you may also want to read john gardner's book grendel.

in the mean time, enjoy the lovely scenery....
