IS anyone else having that trepidatory excitment about Stallones apparently revitalised career?

Rocky 6 (Rocky Balboa) is to be screened soon...
Rambo 4 is heavily rumoured to be in the workds - Stallone himself has floated scripts and is up for it.
And he's looking into the role of hero in Predator 3!

Rocky I is genuinely a good film.
Rocky III is hilarious.
Rocky IV is a masterpiece of propoganda.
II and V, I aint a fan of...

But the Rambo's...

Generic bad-guy: "Who does he think he is, God?"
Colonel Kirby: "No. God.... would have mercy."

Revitalized career? What? When did this happen? Doesn't his career first have to take off again in order for said career to be revitalized.

Stallone just needs to stick with 'The Contender' and be done with it. I mean, seriously, 'Rocky 6'? And 'Rambo 3'?! Ew...

Regarding 'Predator 3', they really need to find some no name actor to fill the role. I'm tired of flicks where big stars fill the role, because you only look on screen and see the big star. 'Arnold vs. The Predator'! 'Danny Glover vs. The Predator'! 'Stallone vs. The Predator!' Lame...

But back to my original thought...am I the only one not afraid to say it?

THE WORLD DOES NOT NEED ANOTHER ROCKY MOVIE.

No, they should probably let it alone. All 3 of the movies.

If they were franchises of quality; you know, actual decent films cinematically, I'd agree.

It's freakin' Stallone. It's entertainment. Mindless, action-packed, numb entertainment.

It's not like its taxpayers money, either <_<

I'm not afraid to say it either! The reason i've never watched a Rocky film is because i'm not a stallone fan!

Besides, Rocky kinda got old after the 3rd one. Same old story...Rocky trains for a fight against an opponent that he wouldnt be able to beat. Gets his a$$ kicked for every round, then somehow makes a huge comeback in the final round to knock out the opponent...
Only difference in this "new" Rocky movie, is that I hear he is going to be training "The Next Rocky".

FOX responds to Predator 3 rumours
September 30, 2006
Fox bigwig Tom Rothman chatted to IESB about numerous things, but notably, recent rumours suggesting that they’re looking at doing a stand-alone “Predator” sequel in the future.

Rothman confirms that there is talk of a new “Predator” but – it’s still a while off. “Yes and no, no truth to that in current active prep, but yes it’s true that it’s something that we think and talk about”.

Rothman didn’t elaborate on when we might see a “Predator 3” and whether or not there’s any truth to the talk that Sylvester Stallone might be being coaxed into doing battle with that ‘one ugly’ um, Predator.

Granted, a "Predator 3" has been of interest to FOX for over a decade. At one stage, they hired Robert Rodriguez to write a draft. Most recently, Sam Park was said to have handed in his crack at a "Predator 3" - which is rumoured to again fix on Schwarzenegger's character, Dutch, and be a two-parter that would carry on over to a "Predator 4".

As for a stand-alone “Alien” sequel?

“If Ridley [Scott] would ever do it, we would do it in a second. So, never say never”, says Rothman.
