Man, I'd love for that Cable/Deadpool duo to be cheap. Those are two great looking figures...
Don't hold your breath, bud... Deadpool + Super Rare or possibly even Chase = $30 at least.
Anyways, the next big set (it's assumed, at least) after Giant-Sized X-Men is confirmed as... Superman! So, yeah, that's good. Maybe we'll get a good looking Zod at last! And maybe even Jimmy Olsen... or Red Son Superman...
Superman = cool!
Also, regarding the price thing. Until we see a card for the duo, there's no way to estimate the cost. Just because Cable was a Super Rare in the last set doesn't mean the duo will be. They put 2 new sculpts of hese figures onto the same base, but it's a whole new figure. The Web of Spiderman Cable and Web of Spiderman Deadpool Super Rares have nothing to do with the Cable and Deadpool duo figure in Giant Sized X-men.

Batman stuff is pretty unlikely at the moment, since he has pretty large presence in Arkham Asylum (obviously) and Brave and the Bold. DC75 was Lantern-centric, this time we're getting Superman... next up, I'd bet on Batman, Teen Titans/Young Justice, or the Flash.

No, we're almost certain it'll be Super Rare. We got the poster a while back, remember, and the Duos are assumed to be on the end, not in the middle. In fact, they were originally slated to be in the Super Boosters, but they were bumped up to the main set, so, yeah.
Trust me, I read these things. :p

But that's always the case for blind purchase boosters. You take that gamble, or you pay more and buy exactly the figure you want. But the prices are usually the highest when they first come out. Though the Sentinel prices aren't that far off from what the older Sentinels sell for.

That's true - of course, I'm kind of assuming that the rarities are skewed in favor the Sentinels ('cause people need more of them), and thus, they'd be cheaper. It's entirely possible (even likely) that it's even distribution, though, unfortunately.

You know that Captain America mini-set that was announced a little while back (the Gravity Feed)? Turns out it's part of a larger set...
America's greatest comic hero leads the charge against the world's most sinister villains in Marvel HeroClix: Captain America! Featuring 63 new, collectible HeroClix figures (59 new sculpts), Marvel HeroClix: Captain America also introduces a major subtheme: Removable Pieces! Have you ever dreamed of hurling Captain America's shield at Red Skull, or going Super Nova as the Human Torch? Each Removable Piece figure comes with an element that can be attached and removed to enhance your play experience!
Marvel HeroClix: Captain America is offered in individual booster packs as well as Gravity Feeds - a 10-figure set containing the most popular heroes and villains from the booster release, completely re-dialed for a new gameplay experience! Each Gravity Feed comes with 24 single-figure blind boosters.
...with removable pieces!? I dunno. That could be good. Or that could be very, very bad. We'll see.

Indeed it is. Of course, the 10-figure set will just be re-used sculpts from the full 63-figure set, so it won't be of much interest to us.
So, anyways, we have Warren Worthington III, both as ANGEL (http://wizkidsgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Angel_031.jpg) and as ARCHANGEL-AS-DEATH (http://wizkidsgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/archAngel_045.jpg). A double post, but some new news... X-FORCE LIMITED EDITIONS! You generally get LEs by, like, playing in Heroclix tournaments and stuff, so I doubt many of us will have that option. And buying them online is generally pretty pricey. Ten bucks each, at least.
But we have DEADPOOL (http://wizkidsgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Deadpool_103.jpg) and ARCHANGEL (http://wizkidsgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Archangel_104.jpg) in their fancy new X-Force outfits. So, Giant-Size X-Men is leaking out in places 'round the world (Spain, evidently), and so the last units are now known. In addition to the 54 on the Poster...
055 - Deadpool/Cable
056 - Wolverine/Colossus
057 - Cyclops/Phoenix
058 - Rogue/Gambit
All of which are semi-Chase rarity. About one out of every eight boosters, I believe.
G01 - Sentinel Mark II
G02 - Sentinel Mark V
G03 - Apocalypse
G04 - Onslaught
G05 - Nemesis
G06 - Frost Giant
Those being the giants. Interesting that they have a Frost Giant in there... pictures for all of these should be forthcoming. Though HERE (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v714/Maelstrom_Black/x-menlot.jpg) is a super blurry pic of some figures, if you're interested.

Dude, I probably have more super rares rebased than anyone on this site. Rare don't mean crap to me. I only mention monetary value to others so they can get the most clix for their buck.
I thought you didn't rebase figures of "value" on the Heroclix market.

No, I just get two of them and rebase one.

My only problem with rebasing (though I still haven't rebased any of my figures out of laziness) is that - man, that's such a waste. I mean, I spent $7.99 on my Lex Luthor. That figure is not worth $7.99. That figure worth, like, $2 at best. It doesn't matter, of course, as I don't intend to ever re-sell him, but still.
...I wonder if HeroClix players would buy figureless bases for rare units...
Spidey'tilIDie
March 27th, 2011, 01:26 PM
I have every figure designed rebased. Except Sentinels because I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a unit I won't use much,
Really? You have the sinestro on the card and rebased him? Cause thats the only one I don't have, but I am working on getting the newer one rebased for him.

Maybe custom creators...
Also, I don't really care about the value of the 'clix, except Super Rares which I trade away for tons of C3G units I don't have. I don't rebase them because I care about their value I don't rebase them because I play Heroclix.

Just so y'all know, the Free Comic Book Day figure is confirmed to be Hal Jordan. I was hoping for Kilowog myself, but, what are you gonna do?
It's the Green Lantern half of this sculpt.
http://wizkidsgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/green-duo.jpg
So it's kind of a new one, I guess.
Only about four months late. :p I suppose that's the problem with posting things as soon as they're announced... everyone ends up forgetting by the time they're actually released!
Sculpt isn't that impressive, though; I'll stick with our Hal.

Actually, coolstuffinc has been selling Heroclix singles at least as long as I've been making superhero customs (the past 2+ years). I usually compare prices between them, strikezoneonline and miniaturemarket.

MiniatureMarket has some awesome clearance prices on Cases (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/booster_cases2):
$42 - Heroclix Indyclix Booster Case (48ct) (Clearance) (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/195018/195028)
$60 - DC Heroclix Hypertime Booster Case (48ct) (Clearance) (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/195018/195024)
$60 - Marvel Heroclix Infinity Challenge Booster Case (48ct) (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/195018/195029)
$80 - Marvel Heroclix Avengers Booster Case (20ct) (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/195018/195022)
$110 - Marvel Heroclix Sinister Booster Case (48ct) (Clearance) (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/195018/195031)
$129 - Marvel Heroclix Universe Booster Case (96ct) (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/195018/323777)
I got me a hypertime and Indyclix set. Even if only half of the 192 figures per case are unique, still a good deal.

What do you mean 6-8 uniques? I think there is like 120 figures in the game. I know there will be duplicates including different "levels" but I was hoping I would get more variety.

The Marvel Universe boosters are only two figures a booster - all the others are 4 figures.
Shipping was free! (I think because I spent over $100)

I recently bought a case of the Indy clix from them. I got 8 Unique figures in each brick. Unique was the old name for super rares. When they stopped making the REV sets, you could get common figures with a silver ring.
So if you are hoping for a bunch of Uniques, don't. You will get about 8 in each brick. Avengers would have 2-4 super rares per brick, and about twice as many rares, maybe more.

By unique, I don't mean Heroclix's definition of unique or rare, I mean unique sculpts (different experience levels all count as the same sculpt) for use as customs. I have played clix a couple times and may play it some more, but the main reason I am buying is for C3G and other Heroscape Comic Custom units (does not need to match the C3G "official" sculpt). Am I just wasting my money buying bricks for these - should I have bought individual figs? It just seems so cheap $60 for 192 figures and I just hoped that I might get 40 or more unique CHARACTERS out of it and maybe some duplicates I could use as squads for C3G defined squads, even if it is just a close proxy.

If you don't have any or many from that wave I'd say go for the bricks. I'd go for them, but I've pretty much bought everything I want from all of those sets as singles at this point. :-)
You're likely to be able to snag some of the rarer ones for a deal this way, though, and if you're interested in getting several of the others anyway, it seems like a good deal to me!

Oh, OK. I get you now. If you want alot of the figures from the set, this was the way to go. I bought that case of Indy clix and got almost a complete set. You will almost definately get one of each REV sculpt, probably more, and several of the Unique figures as well.

Are group uses shadow tiles as emergence holes in gears of war style.
We begin the game with 3 shadow tiles placed anywhere 25 hexes away from the opponents start zones. At the begining of every other round after the 3rd I put a shadow tile on the map anywhere within 6 hexs of my "horde" units as long it isn't adjacent to a opponents figure and place a squad adjacent to it plus place 1 squad figure into play next to all other emergence holes. It takes 3 wounds to close them up and they get 1 auto shield.
It's a game we play when we have more than 3 players 1 controls the shadow tile army vs everyone else he also gets to take a turn with 1 squad figure for each other player still playing during round X (4th turn) no matter what.
shadow tiles themselves work like pit trap gylphs
We use marro as the horde.
Winning conditions
Ending a round with no emergence holes
OR
All opponents dead
It is kind of like a heroscape version of horde mode.
Now with the gears figures coming no more proxies woo hooo!
